What is the best type of bedding to use for a pet rabbits cage? Some people say Yesterdays news, others say aspine shavings, and others say wood pellets? Any suggestions?

The doc said her stitches would dissolve, but I can see some in a little hole in her belly. Will they eventually dissolve, or should I take her back to the vet and rip him a new one?

We keep our apartment spotless...but our neighbors are freakin' slobs! And the ants come through the walls to our place. I'm sick of killing them...day after day. They get into everything: the sink, the trash, the cats' food! We have two cats and so obviously we can't be spraying Black Flag or some other highly toxic substance around everywhere (Cat walks through poison, cat then licks paws, cat gets sick, etc...you see the dilema). Besides, those pesticides smell like crap and stink up the whole place.
So does anyone know any pet-safe ant poisons?

We just got our cat 2 weeks ago, and we're going out of town. I'd only planned on being gone for a week and a half, but I decided to extend my trip.

I'm not sure what to do with our cat though. I could either 1- leave her here and pay a reliable teenager to check in on her and play with her, or 2- I could board her at the Feline BnB that I got her from, or 3- I could take her with me. I'm really not sure what the best option is.

She's a very social kitty, so I can't leave her alone for too long, but I'm not sure if she's ok with flying... I know she isn't a really big fan of the crate. She doesn't throw a fit in the car, but I'm afraid traveling cross country in a plane may be a bit much. The only reason I'd consider taking her with me is because we aren't going to be doing a whole lot of moving around. We'll only be in 3 different places during the time we're gone.

The other thing that worries me is that boarding her for that long won't be cheap, and may confuse her.

Ok the title was very vague. Sorry.

My neighbour has a 7 year old (male - neutered) Maltse puppy. When ever I am out with my puppy (leash training) in my front yard, my neighbour lets his Maltese dog out of his property. The problem is; his dog relieves himself in my yard - number ones and twos! My puppy is not ready for her Parvo shot yet so I am worried that my puppy could catch parvo because of my neighbours dogs faeces.

Any advice on what to do?

I was here before, asking why there are bald spots on my cats legs. And someone said it might of been allergies to fleas/ticks? Well i believe it's true now, after my cat slept on the couch, i found eggs. First i might of thought it was just dead skin/ dandruff, but they were round so i decided to check it out by poping them together with my nails and yup they snaped alright, flea eggs. What should i do now? I think this might explain everything wrong with my cat, violent tail chasing and growling, and the bald area on the hind legs. Maybe even epilispy? The first time i check out with the doctor about my cats siezures, i think he mentioned something about flea reactions? Someone please fill me in more? I really hate going back to the vet becasue it's not cheap for a visit.

i saw one the other night foraging in someone's garbage. i mistook it for a dog and got close. when it noticed me, it bared it's teeth but stood in a submissive pose. what does that mean?

i could tell it was a coyote because of the bushy tail and long pointed snout plus it's coloring. i just backed away and it didn't pursue me. there have been reports of coyotes attacking people in a nearby state park that were killed by sharpshooters.

my question is if i happen to run into one again, what should i do??

Since some time yesterday night, she has been vomiting. It went from vomiting up what she had chewed (a few carrots and a packet of cheese sprinkles from Pizza Hut) to a mucus/frothy mixture, to dry-heaving. She stopped vomiting, slept through the night, and seemed to feel a bit better this morning.

However, she's slowly seemed to feel worse throughout the day, and had a massive diarrhea attack earlier which was a good bit smellier than usual, and a dark mustard color. I know her stool was not liquid earlier today. Her nose is warm and dry, and she is sleeping heavier than usual. Her appetite is not as good, when she was fed dinner, she barely ate at all. She is in the process of getting all of her boosters (next appointment is this Friday), but hasn't been anywhere to "catch" anything. Our other dogs are vaccinated, so they wouldn't have anything.

Any suggestions for helping her? Should I wait until Friday to get her in, or try and get her into the vet tomorrow? Thanks!

My cat is an indoor cat but we live with two dogs who became infested with fleas, my roomate goes to the same vet and the vet knew that my cat lived with the dogs so he gave advantage to my roommate to apply to my cat. So my roomate applied the advantage to the back of my cats neck with out telling me, and I was concerned that it wasnt in the right spot because i think my cat is licking the medication... is my cat going to be ok if he is licking the advantage?

I had a male cat and adopted younger female cat this past spring. After an initial adjustment, they were getting along fine. They weren't great friends, but they weren't fighting either. Now inexplicably, the older male cat has been frequently hissing at the younger female cat for no apparent reason. He was on the losing end of a fight a week or two ago, but the female cat wasn't involved. How can I get him to revert to his old friendly self and hopefully make the two of them friends?

Okay, so i have this [other] Quartherhorse mare. An ex-race horse. The lady we got her from said she was rideable. I guess that was a "if you can catch her". She will only be allowed to be touched when shes in the mood or if you have food. If you have ANYTHING in yout hand, whether it be a camera, which ive been holding before or a lead rope. She takes off on a dead run and wont come near you until the next day. We had the head of a horse rescue come out and try to rope her.. we got her into a round pen ( which is metal and about 5 feet high) and when he came at her with it she went mad crazy and went over the round pen, bending the 70$ panels into nothingness. The even bigger problem is that she is in an open pasture, so i dont think there is ANY hope in catching her. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

My dog had what appeared to be a scab on his back. My son was messing with it and it started to come out, so thinking it was a tick, he pulled on it and it continued to come out, at least 1 1/2 inches. What is this???
