My cat(Princess) had 5 kittens 4 weeks ago.Everything has gone perfect so far and up until a few days ago the kittens were thriving and healthy.
Princess then developed mastitis and can no longer nurse the kittys...I purchased a tin of lactol and kitten bottles but the kittens simply refuse to feed.I have tried everything i can think of...i've tried weaning them onto kitty food(complete kitten food moistened with warm water-refused! moistened with lactol-refused! jellied kitten food-refused!).
The kittens were starting to explore their surroundings and were becoming mischievous up until Princess stopped nursing...now they generally sleep most of the day.
I am really desperate and worried that the kittens may die unless they start eating or drinking.Does anyone have any suggestions??

How do you deal with all the mud at certain times of the year, if your dog's feet get muddy? Do you wash them? If so, how do you do it? My yard is like a swamp right now, lots of rainy weather, and we're having a hard time with the mud on her feet...

I have 5 months old puppy + 2 cats. They are getting on very well. I used to have a dog before and no cats. He was alone and didn't make such a noise. I don't leave the house for hours (I work from home), but sometimes you have to go somewhere and you just cannot take the dog with you. At the end of the day, this is just an animal and has to learn, as I am the one to set the rules, not the other way. If I could teach my kids how to deal with the basics - I can to the same with the dog. I'm not asking how to get rid of the dog, I'm asking how to teach her to get results.

Should I take him in and have the whole nail removed? He balks when I try to trim it and I'm afraid to anyway because it is so close to his pad. He also has an extra set of teeth that need to be removed. Does anyone know an average amount that it costs to have both things done?

There is no pain - or inflamation to the surrounding area, it is not loose but it is a shade of pink/peach near the gum. It is his left fang. The vet is stumped. Can anyone offer advice? I have started brushing his teeth and he never eats bad things like sweets. He is an 18 month old Giant Schnauzer Dog.
