There's only a couple good reasons why you might. First you really need to look for the source of where the blood is coming from on your rabbit. Normally there are only about 3 reasons why you'd get blood on you.
1. Your rabbit broke a toenail as you were holding it. If so, just hold a paper towel on it to wait for it to stop bleeding and the rabbit will be fine. As some other people mentioned, flour or corn start should help stop the bleeding do to their absorbancy.
2. Check the bottom of your rabbit's feet. Look to see if the rabbit has any sores on its feet. If so, it has sore hocks. It probably might be a good idea to take the rabbit to the vet if your rabbit has sore hocks. As long as the sores aren't infected (have puss in them) then you can probably treat it at home with iodine or a pine tar spray like they use for horses. If you have the rabbit on wire you will want to put a 12"x12" piece of drywall in for the rabbit to sit on. The flat surface and the ability of drywall to absorb will be good for the rabbit's feet. It won't hurt the rabbit if it eats some, so don't worry about that. You may want to consider keeping your rabbit in a hutch with a solid wood floor if your rabbit is a large rabbit 10-11 lb or larger. If the sores are infected the rabbit will need to be given antibiotics to fight the infection and the puss will probably need drained out.
3. You could also get blood on you if your rabbit is a female and is about to have babies or if she had a false pregnancy. In that case, look around the pen to see if you see any guts or entrails around the pen. If so, make sure to put a nest box in right away.
Those are the three most common. I'd need more info to really take a guess beyond that.

Bring her to the vet!
She might have a cut, or it might be her urine that's bloody, or you might have accidentally scratched her, or she might have broken a nail at the quick.
Try to find the source(s) of the bleeding, and apply pressure to try and get it to stop. If it's coming from a nail, use corn starch to try and stop the bleeding. Once you've got the bleeding under control, call your vet, and make an appointment ASAP.

most likely it is caused by a toenail breaking off. flip her over and look at all of her 18 tone nails. if so just put some flour on it. the flour will stop the bleeding.

Please take her to the vet to be on the safe side. Actually, you can also just call a vet and tell them what happened and they will direct you from there. I hope your bunny is ok!

Hi check where she is bleeding from...could be that she just broke a nail as these really can bleed badly...treatment is easy & simple for cuts & bleeding nails...use salt water to bath the areas that need treating...safe easy & not expensive...if it is something more serious consult a vet...Regards Jake

you need to find where its bleeding from to fix the problem. If its a wound shes fine, just find it and clean it. if its in the urine she needs to see a vet she might have a infection.
