Albatross are pelagic birds, that is they spend most of their lives at sea. If you are in the United States your best bet is to go out of Monterey California or Westport Washington. Albatross are extremely rare on the east coast. You are almost guaranteed a Black-footed Albatross from either of these destinations. Sometimes they see rarer species, like Laysan or even Shy. I have gone out of Westport twice and have seen numerous Albatross.

you should in the islands of the Caribbeans , like Martinique, Guadeloupe.. to find your bird, they would sell it in the streets at a good price!
