I hate to say it but dogs will eat some pretty darn disgusting things including feces, fetid trash and even rotting carrion when they can get to it. Catnip is the least of your worries. We give it to cats all the time and the worst thing it does, and this only for about 75% of cats, is to give them a minor high for a few minutes. Since cats have extremely sensitive metabolisms (aspirin can kill a cat for example) anything that can be tolerated by a cat generally will not harm a dog either. (of course the reverse is NOT true- many things that are OK for dogs can be toxic to cats)

Eating catnip might make him/her puke just like eating grass may, but there will be no lingering effects. I would worry more about trash and/or dead stuff outside they find on their own to munch on.

Dog training are excellent and very helpful to build you a stronger relationship with your dog. Read more https://tinyurl.im/8f6TV

After I started training my dog, he became very attached to me and loves to stay by side as long as he can. But just going to them won't help. You have to practice what they teach you outside of the class and you need to keep up with it at least every now and then after the class ends otherwise they'll just go back to previous habits. This course is a really good place to go for dog obedience classes. It get's your dog around other people and dogs to socialize while getting the training you need. As for electric collars, I would say to not get one. In my experience, they're only a negative effect on your dog. I mean of course you're going to need to correct your dog, but being positive and encouraging your dog works a lot faster and easier.

Every dog is different, so unless you have a german shepherd or a really smart dog, it might take a while to train her. You might get frustrated with her, but go easy. She's still a puppy and has a lot of energy. A backyard or somewhere to run will help her get rid of a lot of energy that might cause her to misbehave from boredom.

It is a member of the mint family. It has an intoxicating effect on kitties... but not dangerous... and not dangerous or poisonus to doggies!

Although catnip isn't generally toxic to pets, owners should guard against giving too much
of the fresh plant to cats. This plant causes hyper-stimulation to the central nervous system
and the cat can injure itself. However, the dried form usually won't cause
problems for your pet. http://www.cvm.uiuc.edu/petcolumns/showarticle.cfm?id=263

really i think your dog will be ok. he may throw up a bit just because it might not agree with him. just keep the catnip away from him.

if you want to, call your vet. at least you'll have peace of mind.

no he won't get sick untill his high wears off, then he'll get the munchies and a really bad headache and be really irritable for awhile, in the mean time he''l act like a kitty, doing all sorts of silly things, enjoy the show while you can, and hide the catnip in the future , you don't want him getting hooked. doggie detox is so expensive, and only works if the doggy really wants to quit ! lmao.
