Her name is Daisy, we've had her since she was old enhough to be weened. She's very loyal and very obediant, but when epopel come into the house she barks like mad. It's not really a problem exept it's very annoying. She's two years old, perfect health, and no past tramas. Please don't suggest a dog trainer, I need somthing I can do at home. We've tried punishment, distraction, and suclusion None of which work. I can deal with /alot/ of dog problems, but I can't seem to break her of this barking habit. Please only serious answers, and I don't believe in cruelty. Also, muzzles don't work so thats out of the question.

My girlfriend and I have had our Border Collie, Morgan, for about 9 months now and she's about 1.5 years old. We now feed her Maxximum Nutrition and her coat is soft and shiny, stools are unfrequent and compact, and she's VERY energetic. As far as my knowledge goes it's a darn good feed, but I wanted some more opinions. What do you all know about this feed?

Also what would you recommend for maximum performance and health for my dog that I can purchase at either PetSmart or PetCo?

I live in South Florida and my dog is well... ready. We really want him to be a father but it seems that there are no breeders near us. All of them live in the far NorthWest part of Florida. What should I do?

i just rescued to kittens, im not sure how old they are, maybe about 6 weeks. I have them in my garage right now but it's getting cold and I want to bring them in the house. They are covered in fleas and I don't want them to get to my dog. Iwasn't sure how to get rid of them, I read somewhere that shampoos can be toxic to kittens. How can I get rid of all the fleas?

My cat got her shots today for feline leukemia, rabies and another one I am not sure what it was called, but one that reccomended. She also got worm medicine in case she had worms, which she never had symptoms of, it was just a preventative measure. Now she is acting lethargic and anotsocial, as if she does not feel too well. I am worried about her, and wondering if the shots or worm medicine could make her feel ill, or if something else is bothering her? I am not sure of her age, I got her as an adult, but I would say maybe 2 years old.

I only know how cats mate by seeing the neighbors cats do it.
The smaller male is grabbing the larger kitten by the neck with his teeth and holding him down.
The vet will not fix them till they are 6 months old. They are 4 months now,
I know dogs will go through the motions of mating even if both are male. But do cats too?

She is a german shorthair pointer. It only happens with certain treats. I thought maybe it was with the treats i give her when i am leaving but it never happens at that time. It always happens with treats that i give her while i or my wife are with her to give her something to keep her occupied. Any help would be appreciated.

This dog belongs to a couple about 2 blocks away. I don't know this couple, but from my understanding the man works for the sheriffs department. I have had this dog run out at me numerous times when I have gone for a walk. My brother and his wife have said it has done the same to them. My sister-n-law has called the sheriffs department and reported this dog before. (We live in a small town with no police department of our own). They told her that it is not their job to enforce town ordinances and they can't deal with this dog. My son came home from church tonight and told me that this dog tried to attack him. My brothers wife called and told me that my brother, her and another neighbor all witnessed it. My son admitted that this is not the first time the dog has done that. The neighbor who witnessed it, confronted the owner and she said she didn't give a fuc*! I want something done about this vicious dog. What do I do if the sheriffs dept. won't step in?

I've had cats my whole life and have fed them these brands. I have heard things about these foods and how they are not good for your cat. However since i'm just a college grad w/ a not so huge income i would like to know if these are any good (specifically which is the best?) and if there is anything better for the same price (or just a little pricier) thanx

I was supposed to get him in 3 weeks but the breeder seems to think he is doing well and will be fully weaned by mid next week. I am so excited, can anyone please help me through what to expect when i get him and what to have ready for him.
I am wanting to teach him tricks and to talk if at all possible.
Any suggestions and ideas would be so greatly appreciated.

i found my (dead) cat in the bonnet of my car today- i'm sure it took some difficulty to crawl up into it from the underside (the hood was not opened). what motivates animals to go out of their way to die in such a lonely way?

I have a one year beautiful black cat with green eyes name Owen. I adopted him last year from a not so good home and there was no momma cat around to feed him so he was taken away from her pretty early on ( abt 3 weeks old) I bottle fed him with kitty formula until he was able to eat on his own. For the most part I feed him a varity of different brands of dry cat food and once in a while some wet food as a treat. I have two other cats as well and I keep the bowl filled with fresh water and food at all times. Owen is very under weight and I cannot figure out how to get him to gain some (very boney!) any suggestions? ...Melissa.
