Hello. I very much wish that I had more expertise in veterinary medicine..I am in human health care field, as a surgical assistant, and can only research dog medicine, or from my own experience rescuing many dogs in USA..I do know several veterinarians here, and would like to give you email to my own vet here in USA..I think Dr. Tribble may be able to help you..
Introduce your self and tell of your work with stray dogs in India, and write your questions to Dr.Tribble, DVM at: bhvet@wave.net
Remember it is 11:00 at night on November 2, here, so the answers may be delayed..

If giving the Gentamicin antibiotic just be sure you're giving it the correct dosage. The correct dosage is 1/2 cc per 3 lbs on a 3 cc syringe, twice daily. One in the morning and one in the afternoon.

a yr old dog should be a temp of 101 degrees normal.
You sure you are reading it right???
An infection will make temp go up as well as hot weather.
Sounds like you need Penicillian Or Combiotic injectable. Temp will go down once infection is under control.

What does the vet say is wrong with the dog? Causing the fevers and such? What is the prognosis? I hope the dog will get better.

I wouldn't put it to sleep just yet, he's too young to die at such an age give him some time
maybe it just needs some rest
or possibly lacking food/ cold water-hypothermia? from cold
or hyperthermia from excessive heat?

if he is a stray you should also be looking for his former owner.. they may know what the problem is.. and may or may not be looking for him.. make sure you contact your local SPCA and file a FOUND DOG report and check their lost reports..check him for tatoo or microchip
good luck.. I assume you checked for worms?
could be metabolism problem?
