Rule of thumb when filling an aquarium with fish - 1 gallon of water per 1 inch of fish leaving out between 3-5 gallons for rocks and decorations, etc. Tetras can of course live together fine.

The general rule is one gallon of water per inch of fish. For example if you had a 3'' goldfish he would need at least a 3 gallon tank. Neons are small I would say you could have around 35 but I would ere on the side of caution. Hope that helps.

A bunch lol. Neons aren't good fish though, their very sensitive and die very easily. Definitely want to put them in a well established cycled tank though. I believe the cardinal neon tetras are a bit heartier then the regular neons, that's what I've heard anyway. Same thing, their just a tad bigger.

you mean the 29 gallon tank with or without water ?
without you can put lots of them but they will die regarding how good your filter is!
PS. I had someone saying he has about 20 in such a 29 gallon tank. Probably crushed coral wouldn't be a good thing since neons are fans of softer water. the coral will probably raise your pH. From what I know of the amazon basin lots of wood Let it leach and give you the tannins for the water stain.

I had countless fish tanks while i replaced into youthful. My well known tank replaced into my 29 gallon tank..... i might use it as my topic tank. all the different ones could be organic looking commonplace fish tanks. however the 29 gallon each and every 6 months or so might remodel right into a distinctive style of international, I propose i might circulate all out and completly redo the panorama placed distinctive fish in it to examine the topic. And something from A gothic neo roman injury to a manicured chineese panorama finished with a bonzia tree. each and every from time to time i might college extra effective fish in it. for occasion , i might save in basic terms massive angel fish in it. yet over returned it had no longer something yet massive convic cichlids all white ones. in basic terms nutrition for theory. i might in basic terms placed one plecostomous in.. they are hardy eaters ,there won't be adequate for the two one in each and every of them to graze on, they get massive. The tiger barbs could have those guppies for dinnere while they torment them by capacity of tearing their fins off. you have alot of room for fish interior the middle and genuine dwellers and a few backside dwellers besides. do no longer below ANY situations placed A SNAIL on your TANK. As another in right here stated. they convey illnesses and that they dont know while to quit making extra of the little bastards.

neons are really sensitive to water... keep it clean and they prefer slightly acid/soft water... a driftwood in the tank might help with that.
