Frontline and similar products take 12 hrs. to kill fleas. Our pets go outside and get more fleas on them. We comb them a flea comb every day and flush the fleas down the toilet.

I've never had a problem with Frontline not working. If fleas are in the environment, then they could still land on the pet. However, the question then is if the Frontline has time to kill them (or did you see the fleas just after they got on the pet). Still, if you feel it doesn't work, perhaps you can try another product such as Advantage (not Advantix for a cat), or Revolution. Also, vacuum the home well, especially in dark places. Then, remove the bag/material so the fleas and eggs don't stay in there. One problem with flea bombs is that the material doesn't get to all the areas fleas like to hide. Perhaps you can find a good spray so you can spray, again, in the dark places they like to hide. Also keep your pet's bedding nice and clean.

I've heard a lot of people say the Frontline products don't work well. I would suggest switching to Advantix, but here's some other things to check:
- Are you using the correct dosage? Has the dog grown or gained weight since the last time the dosage was adjusted? If your dog's weight is outside the target weight written on the box, the product is less likely to work.
-Is the dog getting wet within 48 hours before or after application? You cannot apply spot-on treatments for 48 hours after receiving a bath (or even being rain-drenched) and you cannot bathe or allow the dog to get wet for 2 days afterwards. If you have, the medication cannot absorb into the skin oils properly and will not work.
-Are you applying the product correctly? The liquid should be dispensed onto the spot of skin between the dog's shoulders, all the way down to the skin if the dog has thick hair, make sure you pull it out of the way first. Use the entire tube, even if it seems like a lot for your dog, and don't wipe it off, wash it off, or allow the dog to roll over while it's drying.
-Have you treated the yard? If there is a heavy infestation in your yard, the fleas could be climbing aboard when he goes outside. Frontline, used properly, will kill adult fleas after they bite the dog, but if there are enough of them in your yard, he could still be collecting more every time he goes outside, and they won't die until they bite him and get the chemical in their system. You may need to treat garages, cars, pet beds, and other areas your dog comes into contact with that may not have been reached by the bombs.
If none of these seems to be the reason, try switching to Advantix, Advantage, or Revolution. And try not to feel too upset, it's been a bad flea season everywhere, and a lot of people are struggling to find a way to end it.

You're probably seeing new fleas from flea eggs in the carpet, furniture, and so on. Vacuum the living daylights out of everything!
There are some powders out there that are great for killing fleas and flea eggs. Use one: Sprinkle it on your carpet and furniture, then vacuum it up after about 20 minutes. And keep vacuuming every day for at least 2 weeks. And yes, wash the bedding, the kitty beds, and the curtains too.
You may want to get help treating your yard and under your house for fleas too, in case there are lurkers. After all that, it should be a long time before the fleas return, if they do at all.
Good luck!

It may be fleas from the eggs and please make sure you are applying between the shoulderblades and doing it correctly-not a lot should be on the outside fur. If you have fleas in the house then you need to get rid of and ask the VET-may require spraying your carpets and washing in hot water all the cats bedding-what is the best product, Bombs if used too much can seriously hurt the cat and your lungs.

I've heard repeatedly that bombs don't work because they fall straight down and fleas hide from it. And Frontline Plus....didn't work for my cat, either. Go to Epinions.com and check out the reviews of Frontline Plus. Plenty of unhappy customers there, also. I know a woman who works in a vet's office and she said they get the same complaints. She used Revolution on her cats and she said it's worked great.
My husband and I are planning an all-out offensive for tomorrow afternoon. We're going to remove all bedding and dirty laundry from our home and take it to the laundromat to be washed in hot water. Then we're going to take the cat to the vet for a flea dip. The dog, cat, and our son are going to remain outside while we use a flea-killing spray with insect growth inhibitor. I'm also going to look in a farm supply store for some 10 percent seven dust powder to sprinkle in our yard.
The nice thing about sprays; you can get it on ALL carpeted and upholstered surfaces (i.e. under the beds and furniture).
And worms do not cause fleas, fleas cause tapeworms. Someone's got it backwards.

What you need to renowned is that fleas can reproduce approximately each ten days, so in case you probably did no longer thoroughly do away with them on your domicile, then in 2 weeks--they are going to be lower back! additionally, this is the time of year that fleas are at their worst because of the fact the climate is heat and there has been no chilly climate to interrupt their life cycle--so as that they are everywhere exterior. you need to properly be bringing them in on your clothing or a customer ought to--and that they start up up yet lower back on your domicile. you need to tell your vet which you have a flea infestation and ask what they advise. undergo in concepts, a flea bathtub would not resolve the undertaking, it basically supplies the cat some relief until the fleas get on it lower back. Frontline would not shop fleas off of your cat, by skill of how. It basically kills people who chew it and get the chemical from its blood. Fleas are not specific approximately what they chew, as long as this is heat blooded, so which you need to grow to be a sufferer in case you don't get this in hand. you need to additionally touch a expert exterminator and get their opinion. sturdy success from somebody who has been there.

If you have fleas in your house, try sprinkling boric acid powder on your carpet and letting it set a few days and then vacuuming. It is safe for your pets to be around and it dries out the fleas, their eggs and the larvae. Also, try Capstar on your pets. This is a pill that kills the fleas on the pet immediately. You need to follow it up with a prevention of course, Revolution works the best I think.

The front line should be working on the pet...however, bombs are useless. The fleas that you are finding are from the eggs on the furnature and in the carpets. Here's what you do....
1. Try and wash all clothing, furnature covers, ect....
2. You're gonna have to steam clean the carpets to kill the eggs.
Good Luck
