IF you have a female and male you will have lots of bunnies. Some rabbits will eat their own young.
If not handled often they will bite. They will eat everything in your garden, even the bark off of your trees. You will be shoveling lots of poop and the flies will multiply.
They are not the best domestic pet, but if you want them they are fun to watch and the kids love lugging them around.....
They have pellets you can purchase at Walmart of Target and they love fresh produce. Need lots of water and need protection from direct sunlight.
Been there, done that!

When they are happy, they might grind their teeth contentedly. When they have the space to run and hop (like across you bunny-proofed living room) they might do a little bunny dance where they run, hop, and mid-air wiggle their little tail... this is sometimes referred to as a "binky." My little rabbit used to do that. My big rabbit likes to hop about, but mostly keeps his binkies to himself.
Eating... best diet you can provide are those alfalfa rabbit pellets... you can supplement with treats from your pet store, but mainly stick with those pellets. My rabbit's favorite treats are yogurt drops (from pet store) and dried banana chips.
Here is a WONDERFUL link that will help you know EVERYTHING you ever wanted to know about domestic rabbits.
They are known as The House Rabbit Society: http://www.rabbit.org/
If you are new to the world of domestic rabbits, PLEASE check these folks out, A.S.A.P. Do not feed your bunny vegetables, until you check this site out. Also, remember that a rabbit must ALWAYS have at least some food on his stomach. Never let his food bowl be empty.
Good luck and enjoy your bun! (Oops.. "bun" is a nickname for bunny).

A 12 year old rabbit is an old rabbit, so he might want to be nearing the best of his lifespan. yet when he's pooping a lot and its his typical poop, i'd say he's high quality. He might want to be hiding out contained in the downstairs bathing room because its cooler down there? do not comprehend the position you're positioned yet we had particularly the nice and comfortable temperature wave the ultimate couple of days. the load-loss is commonplace in old age, too. i'd say you gave ultimate look after him to be such an old bunny and easily to computer screen him. even as a rabbit is on the brink of lack of life, they could stop eating, eating and pooping and would even grind their teeth or sit down in a nook hunched up. or you received't see any indicators and he will pass away peacefully in his sleep.

Do not put to males together they will fight each other to death that is what I have been told anyways. I have two females and each has her own personality. I feed them rabbits pellets, carrots, apples, hay and grass. Get them some toys to play with. Just be careful they will pull the apart. In the hot summer freeze a two liter bottle of water they love to lay on it. Cats are not there friends.

Rabbits are very affectionate but do not make good pets for little kids for when picked up they get scared and struggle and may bite-very sharp teeth. But if you get on the floor with them will come to you, nudge you and even kiss your hand, nose .They love to be petted and make little clucking noise with teeth when happy. The aso run in zigzag pattern, jump in the air, dance around you. They are also very easy to litter train but instead of cat litter (which is poisonous to rabbits you need to use recysled paper litter. They are very clean and are always grooming themselves-sit on their back paws and use their front paws to wash thmselves- they do not like a dirty litterbox.Since they chew-have to otherwise their teeth get too long for always grow so its up to you to protect and keep away from electric wires and stuff they should not chew. My rabbit, bunny is a albino-pure white but pink eyes is going on 13 years with me and I just love her, when I go into the room I made safe for her-the Bunny Room she runs around in big circles that get smaller and closer to me because she is so happy to see me and when I get down on the floor runs up and lays down with me looking at me with love in her eyes. The House Rabbit Society-rescues rabbits(domestic)and they can tell you all about them. Call a EXOTIC PET Veterinarian and they will give you the phone no..

humping your arm (ew my Rosie has actually done that b4 she got bred), going the bathroom all over the place but mainly in corners, going under the bed (oh yeah thats a big one!!! all the rabbits ive had done that and I HATE it, you can never get them out), chewing wires and alot of other stuff like remotes papers and bed sheets jumping up and down and on top of their feeder, running around in circles, kick hop, chasing each other outside, fighting w/others inside specially in cages, love to breed, laying on and eating their young if they're sick, nonassociation w/wild ones, biting cage door can keep you up all night, licking your arm and sometimes your face, perk up their ears, pig out, eating their poo...eww!!!
making their "bed" and looking up on their hind legs its sooo cute when they do that!!!
my conclusion is they are very much like wild ones, just for some reason they dont associate w/them well at least my Rosie doesn't anyway..i dunno about other rabbits

I HAVE THREE BUNNIES, 2 MALES AND 1 FEMALE. MALE RABBIT IF NOT NEUTERED WILL HUMP ALL THE TIME. WE HAVE OUR MALE RABBITS TOGETHER IN A CAGE AND THE FEMALE IN ANOTHER. WHENEVER THE MALE DAWRF SEE THE FEMALE HE WILL CONTINUESLY HUMP THE OTHER MALE RABBIT. MALE RABBITS HAVE STRONG SMELLING URINE AND WILL POOP ALL OVER ITS CAGE, AND EVEN IN IT FOOD BOWL. OUR FEMALE RABBIT IS VERY TERRITORIAL, SHE GROWELS IF YOU CLEAN HER CAGE OR MESS WITH HER CAGE. SHE BITES . IF NOT NEUTERED COULD BE VERY MEAN AND AGGRESSIVE ESPECIALLY IF SHE WANTS TO MATE. THE FEMALE RABBIT DOES KEEP HER CAGE CLEANER THAN THE MALES, AND HER URINE DOES NOT SMELL HALF AS BAD AS THE MALES. RABBITS HAVE A STRONG SEX DRIVE, POOPS ALOT, URINE COULD SMELL STRONG, YOU HAVE TO CLEAN CAGE ALL MOST EVERY DAY OR THE POOP WITH PILE UP AND ATTRACT FLIES. THEY EAT A LOT OF PELLETS. AND DRINK ALOT. THEY LIKE TO HIDE, VERY CURIOUS OF HUMANS KINDA NOISEY BUT NOT VERY SOCIAL . DOES NOT LIKE TO BE PICKED UP, HURTS WHEN THEY SCRATCH YOU. LIKE TO THUMP FOOT WHEN THEY ARE MAD OR SCARED OR BEING TERRITORIAL. LIKE TO TIP FOOD BOWEL OVER. MALE RABBIT IF NOT FIXED POOPS AND URINATES ALL OVER. VERY SMART ANIMALS WILL LET YOU KNOW WHEN FOOD BOWEL IS EMPTY AND WATER IS EMPTY BY BANGING FOOD AND WATER DISH. FEMALES CAN GET PREGNANT RIGHT AFTER GIVING BIRTH, AND COULD GET PREGNANT WITH TWO DIFFERENT MALE RABBITS AT THE SAME TIME. THEY REQUIRE ALOT OF CARE , AND ARE A BIG RESPONCIBILITY. ACT NICER IF NEUTERED. MALE GET TESTICAL AROUND 13 WEEKS, YOU SHOULD WAIT UNTIL THEY ARE FOUR MONTHS OR WHEN WHEN TESTICALS DROP BEFORE GETTING TWO BUNNIES, BEFORE THE MALES AND FEMALE LOOK THE SAME, AND YOU MIGHT END UP WITH A MALE AND FEMALE INSTEAD OF TWO MALES OR TWO GIRLS, AND THAT COULD LEAD TO UNWANTED PREGNACY. THEY ARE VERY CUTE ANIMALS WITH VERY SOFT FUR. PROUD OWNER OF TIMMY GAYHEART (MALE), CHA' CHA GAYLENE (MALE) , AND CHARLEIGH JACKSON (FEMALE).
