I have a 55 gallon tank of fresh water community fish .. but I also like the semi-aggressive and aggressive fish as well. Are there any specific positives or negatives about switching from one to the other ? Such as .. semi-aggressives are harder to take care of because .. (?) etc.. Or it really doesn't matter which you go with as far as care and tending to the fish and tank ? ::::::::::::::::::::::

they just sit up top between the filter and the heater. they are alive because I can try to nudge them away, but they just run right back, they're not doing their job in my tank and I'm mad. I turned up the water temp, but they just like it right there and they dont come out. There is a coral substrate, and several live rocks to for them to live on . Its 55 gallons, I have two damsels, a royal gramma, and a goby, plus a sea star, and some snails. what can I do to make the little punks go live on the bottom ??

My friend is going through A LOT of stress in her marriage. She has a dog that has extreme anxiety. (the dog has a history of abuse. She got him at the shelter 2 yrs ago) The dog has been pacing heavily, panting and losing tons of fur. Medicine has not worked. The dog pees all over the house due to his nerves and seperation anxiety. The poor thing is nervous even when she is in another room!! So today she told me she had him put down. I could NOT believe what she said!!! I am really upset about this. The dog was only about 3 or 4 yrd old. I think she overreacted due to the stress in her personal life. I am finding it hard to talk to her anymore because of this thing with the dog. Am I wrong or should the dog have been put out of his misery as she says?
Oh yeah. she is a professional dog trainer.

For those who know about bloat, you can use this time to share what you know. For those that don't, you can learn something new about dogs. My question is what percentage of dogs develop bloat? Or, one out of every how many dogs will develop bloat? Also, tell me what you know about bloat and how to prevent it. Best overall prevention and guess at the number gets the 10 points. We don't have any more fleas on our animals since we put them on Frontline. The problem now is they've jumped off the cats and dog and onto the floor, some of the furniture, etc. Here's what we've tried, and it didn't work/made it even worse:

mopping with Borax
sprinkling rock salt
spraying bug spray
pan of soapy water with a light on it
washing pet beds

Is there anything else we can do? We're about to call an exterminator, but we can't afford to waste money on someone who's going to come spray for the fleas to just come back. Please help. These fleas are driving me nuts!

The doc's said do disinfect everything the dog has come in contact with, with a bleach solution 4 oz of bleach to each gallon of water. How am I going to use a bleach solution on my furniture without ruining it? And does anyone know of anything else that I might be able to use on the furniture instead of bleach?

Well we took him to the vet about a week ago and hes fine. but like ever sceince about 2 weeks ago when he got out hes been absosed with me. like he wont let me hold or pet him but hes been following me everywhere meowing when im not right by him when im home. Hes not an outside cat. But when he waz outside do you think he could have get messed around with?

My dog is 10 years old, and we always have done a good job keeping up with her dental care (brush 2-3 times per week). All of the sudden, she is starting to chew through wires throughout the house. Luckily, she has not chewed through any 'Live wires', but I am afraid she will do that.
What would cause a dog to start doing this at 10 years old?

We have an injured goat with what we think is one broken back leg. They are cut up. He's lost some blood. He seems like he's going into shock. What can we give him to help him get through this until tomorrow. Also, how long can a goat lay on it's side? We don't want to make his breathing difficult. We have 2 chihuahuas and they're six months old. They have no problem holding their bladders from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am. We both work and leave them inside with free roam of part of the house. They use pee pads, but will they ever stop needing them? Is it too long to leave them in a crate from 7:45 - 4:15 every day?

My cat is 6 months old and I'm so curious if anyone else has a cat that meow and whines when he plays with a particular toy. Only that toy makes him act that way...there is NO catnip in it. It's the strangest thing, he doesn't look happy or upset but just walks around the house meowing and whining.
