In most cases I would agree with the other post that the scorpion would win. However it would depend on the type of tarantula. If you placed the scorpion in with what is known as a Goliath Bird eating tarantula. I would lay money on the tarantula. I have seen goliath bird eaters jump approx. 2 feet and kill a full grown rat in one bite. Its fangs are huge often times up to 1 1/2 inches in length when full grown. They will grow to about the size of a dinner plate with thier legs still hanging off. This is my opinion of course.

The Goliath Birdeater tarantula could give the Emperor scorpion a good fight and win. Neither species is very toxic; however, they are both large. The Goliath can have legs up to 12 inches long and the Emperor scorpion gets up to 8 inches long. I think the tarantula would think the scorpion delicious; afterall, critters only fight to avoid being prey or to capture prey.

Depends on which tarantula really. A few of them could put up a fight however in most cases the emperor will simply crush the spider. They have incredible crushing power. It is rumored full grown emperors can break finger bones in people.

Emperor scorpions are only mildly poisonous. With scorpions it is usually the little ones with tiny claws that are the most dangerous. I'd say both will probably lose their lives but the scorpion would die last because spider venom usually paralyzes prey while scorpion venom kills prey.

scorpion no question. but i think that both of them are stupid pets. i prefer things like dogs, and reptiles like the bearded dragon

Who cares...just thinking about it gives me the creeps. I like my animals cuddly, not terrifying.

the scorpion. taratulas are big, but not as poisonous, or aggressive.
