That was a pretty broad insult.. If I was a vet tech, I wouldn't bother to answer anything for you..

there are MANY great vet techs answering questions here..do you think it is for pay? How much did anyone pay for advice on this site..?

No, It is because they care to GIVE a few hours daily, instead of being with family or watching TV..Just to help pets and pet owners...most likely after spending a day at work in a challenging job that is also under-paid..

I think you owe an apology as wide as your insult.

Yes, there are wannabe's that 'claim' to be vet techs..but you can tell in the first sentence that they are phonies..
There are also many others who claim to be experts in training or breeding..and know nothing but myths and old wives's tales.
However, this is a free site, and all are welcome to ask and answer.
.It is up to to the asker to have enough sense to tell a fraud from an expert..

Yes. Frontline contains poisons. That is why it is applied between the shoulder blades. It becomes a problem if you have other dogs that can get at the Frontline and ingest it or if you have cats which cannot handle the ingredients in Frontline for dogs. It also causes some reactions in dogs that have not ingested it. I am not a vet tech but this is from Merial's own web site for Frontline Plus.
"HAZARDS TO DOMESTIC ANIMALS
For external use only. Do not use on puppies under 8 weeks of age. Individual sensitivities, while rare, may occur after using any pesticide product. Pets may experience some temporary irritation at the site of product application. If signs persist, or become more severe within a few days of application, consult a veterinarian immediately. If your pet has an unusual reaction to the initial application, consult a veterinarian before repeating treatment. Certain medications can interact with pesticides. Consult a veterinarian before using on medicated, debilitated or aged animals. Call 1-800-660-1842 for 24-hour assistance." Merial is the company that markets Frontline. The information for Frontline (without the Plus) is the same.

If you don't think "vet techs" know what they are talking about, why don't you contact the company yourself and find out. Merial is the name of the company that makes Frontline. Here is the #: 1-800-660-1842. Ask them to give you the minimum number of tubes a dog can ingest before it causes a problem. You'll be astounded at how many.
