I have a ten gallon tank that has been active with fish for a year with proper filtration ect. There are approximately 20-30 small to medium guppies in the tank as well as 1 male and 1 female Molly, as well as 1 Large Pleco (Sucker fish). My brother gave me a Red eared Slider and I am wondering if it is ok to place him/ her in my tank. I don't mind the turtle eating the guppies, just not all of them in a day or so, but I don't want him/ her to kill the mollies or the Pleco. Is this realistic or should I put the turtle in a seperate habitat?

The dog wouldnt be left alone for long periods of time, but of course would have to sometimes. Do they always "bay" or howl or do they have a regular bark. Weird question I know but I have no idea. Thnks

How do you tell if a rock is a girl or boy? Where can you get one? What do you keep them in? Can they be aquatic? How much do they move? What do they eat??? What do they like? What supplies do you need? If Curious is on, I'd like her to answer this! Please help! I am thinking of adopting a pet rock. Thanks!

How is it possible that my Yorkshire Terrier, who is not a foot in length when standing can, nonetheless, lay the most ghastly foot-long sh*ts in my garden?

We have had our dog since January 06, We aren't in the greatest shape to go get him test for allergies. We just found out that that is what he has. First we thought it was fleas...no. Nothing like that. We would have to pay for all the testing then the meds. He is constantly chewing himself or scratching. But I love him to death. I look at it as..give him back to the SPCA and let them find him a home that can take care of him OR keep him and let him chew himself to death? This is our 2nd dog that we have tried. I don't want to lose him, but ... Help me!!!! Give some advice please!!

Our Golden is making a mess of our yard on his runner. We'd like to fence in an area of the yard where he can play, don’t want to make it to small. We do want to keep some yard space for the kids. Our Golden is going to be a BIG boy and don't want him making messes for the kids to step in. So fencing the whole yard is not an option at this time.

i see a lot of comments like "shoot them all"

do you people realize that is like saying that all black people are criminals because you saw one on t.v., or that all hispanics are illegal, or all whites are racist? i've seen some really crazy stuff on here, like people saying that pit bulls brains keep growing and their skulls do not, and this makes them all snap one day. that is the most un-supported, retarded thing i have heard so far. they do not stand a chance of "turning on you and your kids" unless they are raised badly, like any dog. some people.

Tonight she started mounting my husbands leg as if she was a male. Is this normal behaviour or have we been feeding her the wrong type of food. She had ham and beef tonight!

My uncle isn't exactly a nice owner. However the dog keep do stupid things such as eat out of trash can, wander out of the yard (not run), jump on people, go into part of house he's not suppose to (bathroom, bedroom, and other rooms), and other things. It keep getting it butt kicked by my uncle, yet for some reason it never learn. My uncle have this dog for 2 years!

Keep in mind I DON'T support his way of treating dog, but I can't do too much because I'm living with my uncle for free as I attend college. So I'm not going to risk getting kick out. I'm just wondering why the dog never learned certain thing while it learn other thing well?

Is there something special to Help a cockatoo get his feathers back? He was kept in a small cage with only food and water and pulled almost al his feathers out. Since he became mine I got him a large corner cage with plenty of toys. His chest and stomach feathers are filling in good but his back and neck still have very little growth.
Any answers or ideas? Thanks

We live in Pasadena, California... I take my dog everywhere with me... camping, dog beach, dog park, we walk the mall together... eat together at the restaurant... I think I just run out of places to entertain him... where else can we go?

I love him very much and I want to include him in most my activities and he loves it when we go out together on the weekend. He wakes me up really early on Saturday and Sunday because he knows it's fun time and I don't want to disappoint him... I have no idea how he knows it's weekend, but he does... he's very smart and he's a very good boy, too. He's only 9 months old and I want him to have as much fun as he wants... he's an English cocker spaniel mix with the American cocker... very cute! All blcak with white chest... he's adorable. Any suggestion?

I am a 31year old woman who just bought her first condo! One of the many reasons i was so excited to buy was because I am dying to own a dog- I grew up with a half-poodle half-terrier mix that I absolutely love, and want something like him. I am looking for a dog that is 40 pounds or less, one that doesn't shed much, and one that can be trained to be alone 9-5....... I plan on rescuing one, of course, but I need to figure out what would be a good fit for me so I can be on the lookout! Thanks......

Justin Timberlake was decapitated in our lawn tractor. I constructed a new head out of some cardboard, elmers glue and black yarn. It's just not the same. He doesn't even try to sing...he just sort of lays there. And he smells some too. How do I let go of my favorite rock star?

I am now calling him "Justin Just Lays There" so my kids don't get freaked out.

Medium to large-sized dogs are used in search/rescue, hunting, etc. becaue of their uncanny ability to sniff out stuff. But what about smaller dogs like chihuahuas, pugs, etc. whose noses are not as big as other dogs? Do they still have that same ability to sniff out smells that we humans can't pick up on?
