Well if they are real bad sores, please take him to the vet. Otherwise, put tripple antibiotic on it 3 x's daily, and use one of those doggy helments so he cannot lick them. Make sure to keep his toenails cut and hair inbetween them trimmed short.
If you are walking him in dirt and grass, weeds, etc. don't do that until they are more healed. Instead walk him on sidewalks, etc.
Please check him for infections and/or bugs. They will irritate the wounds more. After going outside, usually to play or potty, soak or dip his feet in Epson salt mixed with warm water to keep them clean, then reapply the ointment.

Good luck.

Does he lick his feet? If so get an Elizabethan collar for him to wear when you aren't watching him. You should have his skin scraped to check for the presence of fungus or bacteria. He could also have allergies to grass or other contacts. You could soak his feet in betadine or chlorhexiderm once daily to keep the bacteria level down. I'd see a vet if it were my dog.

It depends on the kind of sores, but generally you can just rub Vasaline between his every night. If he licks his paws, Vasaline is harmless. This might help alleviate the sores....

Good luck!
