I've had my dog for about a year now and she still won't use he potty pads when I'm not home. The funny thing is that when I'm at my boyfriends apartment she'll hold it until I walk her. But I my house she'll go anywhere she wants, mainly the hallway by my mom's bedroom. Can anyone help with some ideas?

My 8 year old chihuahua has a loose tooth. At her last vet appointment, the dentist said she had mild tartar, but nothing to worry about too much. Now one of her teeth is loose. (She's already had another big tooth taken out a few years ago.) I'm considering having the tooth pulled, but due to her age she would need a pre-op workup, catheter, all sorts of medicines and stuff. I'm not sure that it's really worth putting her through all that for one little tooth at her age.

Can you offer an advice? Pros or cons of having her put out and undergoing the surgery?

she won't let me get close enough to see it though. I thought it was a fly that got in and they were playing with it trying to catch it and then i heard her freak out in the other room and i went in and saw that it was a bee. she'll be ok? (i'm a little over protective if you hadn't noticed :)

I have a two year old German Shepherd mix. Because of his large size, and his instance that he is no bigger than a lap dog, he has become a primarily outside dog. During winter time, when it begins to rain and gets colder he is allowed in. I've recently noticed that flies are quite attracted to him. Thinking it might be because he was dirty, I gave him a bath. This didn't solve the problem. In particular, the flies flock to his ears. When I was able to get him to sit still so I could look at his ears, they seem matted. I attempted to wash them, but he doesn't really like me touching them. It appears to only be on the outside of his ears, where the fur is. Any ideas/suggestions...?

My hamster loves to chew on her cage at night. It's plastic, and it's really noisy. Is there anything I can do that is safe or should i just let her do her thing? She already has a "chube" to chew on, as well as wooden chew toys, but she prefers the plastic.

2 year old llapso apso
abused by former parents
one of the descriptions from the former parents is that he bites.
even thought i knew he bites I wanted to give him a home anyway.
I figured since he is 2 years old and biting there must be a problem
so, now he licks my husband and I and rolls on his belly for us..
he still squints and certain moves we make ex. thinking we are going to hit him. He doesn't like to be picked up under his arms i tried it before just to put him in the bath to clean him because he was so dirty fromt he former parents and he bit me. he has tried one other time but, He has not done it since and it has been 4 weeks or less... he does have my other dog to play with

Fleas have been brought in to our house from our two cats and nothing will get rid of them. I have treated the cats with the spot on, powder and spray, also combing them daily. The cats have not been in the house for a few days and not really combed many off them so the are not really the problem. However the house was riddled with them, we have used powder, spray and flea bombs, washed every bit of soft furnishings we have and cleaned and hoovered the house really thoroughly. But my partner is still being bitten! The council can't get out to fumigate the house for over a week and we have no other pest control in the area. Does anyone know what to do? PLEASE HELP!!!! We are desperate and will try anything! Thanks in advance XX
