she won't let me get close enough to see it though. I thought it was a fly that got in and they were playing with it trying to catch it and then i heard her freak out in the other room and i went in and saw that it was a bee. she'll be ok? (i'm a little over protective if you hadn't noticed :)

thanks guys, she's actually let me get close now and i've rubbed her down and nothing seems sensitive so i think she'll be alright, but i'll take your advice and watch for any swelling or irritation. Thanks :)!

its better to be over protective rather than not caring at all i am the same way with my cats...i would just watch for facial swelling or swelling of the area in which she was bitten...if swelling occurs then you need to take her to the vet or emergency hospital this could be a serious allergic reaction...if no swelling occurs maybe just some neosporin on the affected area...good luck dont give her any benadryl...not good for human meds for cats

I'm sure she'll be fine..if you are overly worried call up your vet and ask them..it won't hurt. I've never heard of bee stings being harmful to kitties just a little painful.
My kitten got stung by one..and he freaked out you would have thought he was being killed by an invisible hand lol..but i called up the vet and they said he would be fine unless he reacted as if he was allergic to bee stings..but he was fine with a little love and care from his "meowmie" lol
Good luck..from another kitty mom :)

She'll be Ok. The stinger, if left by the bee will work itself out in a few days. I don't imagine your pet will even notice after the initial shock of a sting, if indeed she got stung. I've had my pets actually eat them and nothing happened.

I have never heard of bee stings being fatal for a cat. I would expect some swelling, a little allergic reaction and she should recover very quickly.

She will be fine, now I don't know about cats but you can give a dog a tsp. of benedryl ,but you can call a vet or even a regular pharmacy and ask them about it..If you can it will stop the itching or the irritation.

My cat got stung by a bee and we ended up having to get his paw drained because fluid built up and he couldn't walk on the leg because it hurt so bad. you should take your cat to the vet if you notice him/her limping or where he/she got stung getting swollen.

stupid cat,...
thats alright, cats are just like children aren't they?
they never grow up. she will always be your baby. My cat does dumb things too, but then he is a boy. and you know all boys can be really stupid.
I'm sure she will be alright, but it would be prudent to take her to a vet, in case she is allergic to bee venom. Some cats like people - have allergies just like people.
Take care & good luck
Cheers !!
