You need to train your dog not to attack anyone or anything... shame on you? Why'd you even ask... of course it's bad!!! and what is bakers chocolate?

are you talking about food or other dog... that he's attacking?

Yes. It is bad for him. Most pit bulls are quarrelsome with other dogs, but that doesn't mean the pit bull always wins, especially if the other dog is much bigger. Your dog could get injured, whether he wins or not.

He could also catch a disease or parasite from the other dog.

If your dog is the one going into your neighbor's yard and starting the fight, your neighbor could shoot your dog, or beat him with a bat until he ran away, and there wouldn't be a darn thing you could do about it, legally.

He could also have your dog taken by Animal Control, file a complaint, and have your dog put down by county order, if the negligence is on your part and not his.

It could also be a bad thing for you.
1) You are responsible, civilly and criminally, for anything that your dog does while off of your property and out of your immediate control. He can sue you for vet bills or the cost of his dog if it dies. He can also sue you for any damage your dog does to his property.
2) If, God forbid, your dog bites and seriously harms a human being, you will not onl be liable for the damages, but you could be charged criminally. If the victim dies, you will go to jail for a very long time.
3) You can be fined simply for allowing your dog to run loose, even if he doesn't hurt anything.

If your neighbor is the one who is letting his dog loose, then report it to Animal Control AND fill out a police report with the city cops, EACH AND EVERY TIME. That way, when something really bad happens, you can demonstrate that he has a history of negligence. Make sure you get a copy of the reports from both agencies, EACH TIME you make one, and save it somewhere.

If you are the one dropping the ball, your neighbor is doing exactly what I said you should do if he's smart. You better straighten up.

Anyone who cannot responsibly control their dog shouldn't have one.

BTW,
Pit bulls aggressiveness towards other dogs is NOT an indicator that he is also, or will be, aggessive with people. I've had many pit bulls that would let a six year old child steal them from my yard in the middle of the night, but would immediately attack a strange dog that came near them.

Sounds to me like its bad for the lab but not for the pit bull, you better figure a way to make that stop before the neighbor gets sick of it and starts complaining about it.

Horrible. Kill the attacking violent pit bull before it kills the neighbor's dog or worse get's out and visciously attacks an innocent small child. Pit bulls are dangerous dogs because they're instinctive killers no matter "how nice you train them or how nice you are to them". If you do not put it down it will attack you one day - mark my word.

You're an idiot. If this is more than a dumb joke and you really do have an aggressive pitbull, then you need to be put to sleep with your pitbull.

yes if he is that agressive towards the neighbors dog then what is stopping him from doing that to a person?? You need to get him into obiedance class and get him under control.

That depends on how tolerant your neighbor is. If it were me, it would be very bad for your pitbull becuase I'd shoot him if you didn't control the problem.

Make sure you have your pit on a lease and everything should be fine. Everytime he does it pop him with your hand or a newpaper. Then put him inside or buy a dog cage and put him in that.
