Benedryl help buts it knocks her out - I don't want to continue to give her this steroid. Any home remedies? Thanks

Benadryl is not a steroid. It is an antihistamine.

Do smaller doses..

Leave her with a Pet Nanny.

I realize you said you don't want to use over the counter medications, but here's what worked for me. I gave my dog a small piece of a dramamine pill (about 1/3 of a pill) and stuck it in a piece of cheese so she'd eat it. I then took her on about a 10 hour road trip with me. She was extremely drowsy the first half of the trip, but then she livened up a bit and seemed to get used to the driving. She hasn't gotten sick since.

POOR DOG IF YOU HAVE TO MEDICATE THE LIL THING TO RIDE WHY NOT LEAVE IT HOME...TRY SOMETHING OVER THE COUNTER FOR MOTION SICKNESS BUT ASK A VET. FIRST.
