gradually let them accept each other on their own terms. DO NOT force the issue by doing stupid things such as throwing them in one anothers faces and expecting a love fest. be mindful of the fact that even if they never like each other, they can still respect/tolerate one another.

Leave them all in the room together and you stay there to referee. I do this with all mine and they get along great. Don't interfere unless the cats get really mad and are about to hurt the puppy.
The puppy will take a few smacks from the cats but usually they will not do any damage. They know they are dealing with a puppy and will treat it accordingly. once they establish pecking order the puppy will treat them as a momma and they will keep your puppy in line.
Over a few months they will all learn to play and get along.
My dog Yasmine and cat Fat Louie were brought home at about the same time and they love each other. The dog " fleas " the cat and the cat washes the dog and if the cat is outside and comes back to the door wanting in the dog barks until we come open the door. They make a good team.

From my experience, the puppy will probably be excited about the cats, but the cats most likely are going to be freaked out by the puppy. I would start by letting them play under a door (youknow how cats like to do that) if you think your cats will not attack the puppy you could try restraining him with a leash and introducing them while you are controlling the pup and petting them so they know it is safe. Our dog is great buddies with our cats, we have lost and added new pets and we have been very fortunate. As long as they feel like things are still safe and you make them feel comfortable with the change, they will adapt. Have fun and good luck!

TIME. You have to allow time, I have 5 dogs and 3 cats and not one of them came into the house at the same time. So they have all had to adjust each time one comes home. And they usually hiss and growl and spat at each other a few times but after a week they seem to ignore eachother and in a month or so they will be sharing the same food bowl. Just watch out for some types of dogs that are aggressive because they may never adjust and pose a potential death wish to a tasty mini cat.

Rub them with raw meat and put them in a cage together.
Just kidding, that is cruel!!
If they are young, start by holding one of them while the other checks the other one out. Slowly begin to not intefere so much. I keep both my cat and dog in the house together and now they know each other from gradually being together.

If you go to: www.littlebigcat.com Dr. Jean Hovfe has an article titled "Cat to Dog Introductions". You might pick up some useful tips there.

In time they will. You might have to work with the cats to get them comfortable the dog isn't going to kill them. Once they become friends they are best friends!

Good, he's young! Put him in a pet crate at night. My cats taught or dog to SHADDOP (you barking fool), by being in the same room. They still don't play together, but oh well...

well, introduce them for small periods of time. I was told that if you introduce new animals to the house you are to take them all outside and let them meet each other out in neutral ground..and then bring them in. But.. if you give them little doses here and there they should be fine! Congrats on the pup!
