We live in Pasadena, California... I take my dog everywhere with me... camping, dog beach, dog park, we walk the mall together... eat together at the restaurant... I think I just run out of places to entertain him... where else can we go?
I love him very much and I want to include him in most my activities and he loves it when we go out together on the weekend. He wakes me up really early on Saturday and Sunday because he knows it's fun time and I don't want to disappoint him... I have no idea how he knows it's weekend, but he does... he's very smart and he's a very good boy, too. He's only 9 months old and I want him to have as much fun as he wants... he's an English cocker spaniel mix with the American cocker... very cute! All blcak with white chest... he's adorable. Any suggestion?

I watch the papers for street faires and festivals..concerts in the park, etc..
How about teaching him something new..He'll love the extra nurturing that goes in to teaching...Look up agility or CGC sites, and teach some new tricks..You can do this at a park, if he would concentrate enough there.
.Are there still carriages in Griffith Park? That would be a great adventure for him..

Take him out to Bonelli Park in San Dimas for a swim or up to Crystal Lake or how about a hike up Eaton canyon. The Ghetty is a great place to go. See if they allow dogs there. Take him down to Fashion Island and walk in the outdoor mall there and then go down to the beach and walk along the cliff by the Ritz Carlton. Take him to the boardwalk at Venice Beach. Take him down to Belmont Shore for a walk or out to Santa Monica. The L.A. County Fair is on now so he might get a kick out of that too.

It sounds to me like you do plenty! More than most people would do! I use to take my dogs to this out door restaurant, that let you bring your dogs! We would order food for the dogs and gave them a chance to socialize with other dogs. I lived on the beach also, and think that is every water dogs favorite place in the world! I know coker spaniels usually love water, and I can't see it getting any better than the beach!
Good Luck and Take Care

I live in Los Angeles California. There's a hiking trail that runs through part of Griffith Park (actually goes below the Hollywood sign). Take your dog hiking there. Bring a tennis ball. While you're hiking, throw the tennis ball up the trail (it's uphill). Your dog will run after the tennis ball and bring it back. Um... don't do this if he's inclined to attack other people or horses.

take him for a car ride and go some where you have never been. they will enjoy the new sights and smells. especially a park, not necessarily a dog park. i also like the boat idea although my dog hates boats.

How about take him to a park where he can meet other dogs or take him to a skate park so he can watch skaters and then try it himself.
