i had a dog that hated men with a passion. she loved the kids, but she would not deal with men whatsoever. she wasnt aggressive, but apparently some man has upset your dog at some point and so he doesnt like men.

what does he do that is aggressive when he is talked to with authority? that means that he is thinking that he is alpha male and that he doesnt have to listen,.

Many dogs will react with aggression when intimidated. Obviously, larger people will come across as more intimidating. A good obedience school should be able to address any fear based aggression issues.

Men are always more of a threat. My dogs are the same way. The little ones across the street can barrel into my house right through them but their dad can't get near my house.

You might want to bring this up with an animal behavioralist. I think that the dog might have some dominance issues.

If the larger people bend down to his level, it may help.
