My two shelties have recently started itcing like crazy since we moved in to our new place. I've seen ONE flea and trust me we've searched so I really honestly don't think it's a flea allergy. I am sure there is more fleas but this is something else I am posotive of it. One dog seems to bite at her back more than anything and the other one seems to itch her belly. They both have scratches all over their belly from this and a patch of missing hair onthe ones back. I called the vet and they suggested I try benadryl first. It helps but isn't helping enough. I have an appointment for the vet but am not financially set right now to spend as much money as she said it would cost just to start testing and the shot they give them is $30 some dollars each. I don't have credit cards so that wont help. I would like to try to find something as a trial and error and see if it helps before I spend all the money at the vet. I have one week before their vet visit to try something. Any suggestion?

i have 2 dogs, both girls. one is a 2 1/2 yr old wire haired terrier/daucshund/mini schnauzer mix, and the other is a 4 month old peikenese/wire haired terrier/english springer spaniel mix. the 4 month old is already way bigger than her 2 yr old companion, and she knows it. she can fit the smaller dog's head in her mouth, hence the problem. she doesn't try n bite hard, but every time we let them in the house, she does it, even if they were outside together. is she trying to display dominance, and is there any way to stop her from doing it? my older dog is getting sores from where she's been biting her.

Weimaraner, 2 yrs. old. We just electric fenced 1400 feet of the yard for this dog-She was doing ok, but if she spots something-she takes off and goes straight thru the fence. Shock and all. It's turned up to "7" and I really don't know if I turn it up again, will It hurt her? I've never dealt with this. Anyone out there have any idea's for me and Gracie??
