I wouldn't give a puppy shots when they are sick. Too much for their immune system. I have a dog that was a parvo survivor and her vet as well as her breeder's vet asked us not to give any shots until a few weeks after she was fully recovered.

There is a test your vet can run to see if your pup does, in fact, have parvo. It costs like $40.

My puppy, who we rescued from a pound, started getting sick a few days after we got her and eventually died from parvo despite our vet's attempts to save her. Parvo takes 7 to 10 days to develop, but it acts pretty fast. Symptoms are a jelly-like poop and lack of appetite and energy.

You should take your puppy to a vet as soon as possible. Parvo is curable in some cases with fast-acting response. The treatment is expensive, but your puppy is worth it.

He could have something less life threatening like worms or what not so have him tested for those things if parvo isn't the answer (let's hope it's not!)

Good luck!

well I am not sure if you mean he has parvo already, or if these shots are preventitive, but parvo is a terrible thing, and you should do anything you can to keep it away. Give him the shot, and don't have puppies again for a couple years, as the disease can stay in the surroundings for a very long time!

Your dog should have had parvo preventitive shots to prevent the dog from getting parvo. Live and learn. Now you have to go through the cure

Vaccinations should never be given to an animal that is sick. Find out what is wrong (go to vet) and get that cured before even thinking about anymore shots.
The label on the vaccines says only healthy animals should be vaccinated. Also, never vaccinate a pregnant animal.

Does he have a strong odor?
Best bet is to take him to the Vet.
Distemper, or Parvo can be killers. Vets will know which one to treat for.
