SPAY, they will remove your dog's sexual organs so your dog can't reproduce. I included a link that explains it more and even has some pics of the procedure (don't look if you can't handle blood). It is best to do this while they are still young becuase they heal much faster. (Just as they say humans do better if you get you tonsils removed as a child, you heal faster and its less dangerous). Your dog is old enough now so set up and appt with your vet and get the process started, as most vets recommend you get the surgery done between 4 and 5 months of age, before the dog's first heat cycle. It reduces the risk of diseases too!

6 Months is a good age to get your Yorkie spayed, If she has any retained baby teeth they can remove them at the same time. The most important thing is getting them spayed before they have there 3rd cycle. This cuts down the chance of them getting certain types of cancer.

They will cut open her tummy and remove her uterus and ovaries. This will mean she will not be able to have puppys and she will not come into heat.
It is a very safe operation and they do them all the time.
It is better for the health of you pup as she will have a much lower risk of mamary cancer and you will not have the mess of her being in heat once every six months.
I think at 8 months you can have it done anytime.

Sprayed, or SPAYED? If you mean the latter, 4 months. Do it now. The younger the dog the faster the recovery.

your yorkie can be spayed now... it is a good idea to talk to your vet if you are concerned about the procedure.. actually they will put a small incision on her belly .. and fish the uterus out then they tie off the cords .. stitch up the dog and thats it. usually they stay over night but now a days they let them go home the same day .. oh yes they will put her to sleep .. dah... foxi

Spaying is when the doctors remove reproduction organs. Get it done ASAP, before your dog fully matures.

ASAP. The sooner you get her spayed the quicker she'll heal. The earilest is about 5 months.
