Normally NOT.. If the fish is in a large pond, the heat of the fire would, in all probability, not get hot enough to raise the temperature of the water in the large pond. IF, however, the body of water was small and the forest fire was all around, it is possible that the fire on all sides of a SMALL body of water would raise such that would suffocate the fish... It is highly unlikely though that this would happen.
There is something fishy about this question. Fish are stressed by low water flows, higher water temperatures, and competition for space and food. Low water conditions in spring and fall can cause spawning failures and increased predation on young fish. If conditions worsen, stress from higher water temperatures, lower oxygen levels, and reduced resistance to disease can cause fish to die. These threats impact future adult fish populations.
If the water is heated to a point above which the fish can tolerate, yes .....they can perish.
If the fish swims to the bottom of the pond and stays within it's optimal life range, it will survive.....the fish may go into a body altering mechanism to do something like HIBERNATING in the adverse conditions to maintain itself minimally until best conditions return....
Oxygen content decreases as temp increases...so the quality of life will be altered depending on O2 content....Hope this helps!!!!

The fish would have to be in a rather large pond or body of water in order for the fish not to get overheated. I think if the water stays fairly cool, the fish should make it with no problem.

no duh...Fish need water. Fire is the opposite of water. If there's enough fire it will overcome the water and kill the fish. Or the water will get too hot and they will die of the heat.

expensive Randy, sure, all creatures might desire to be enjoyed, cared for, and respected. even with the incontrovertible fact that, i do no longer think of which you may pass to hell in case you killed a computer virus. Nut, even with the incontrovertible fact that, in case you killed a canines, now that could be distinctive. yet, you do no longer likely might desire to love a computer virus, know what I recommend? in case you killed an animal on twist of destiny, than it is okay. all of us make blunders. as an occasion, do you think of that God might get mad in case you by twist of destiny stepped on and killed a hamster? So what i'm asserting is, whether an animal is delicate and cuddly like a kitten or hairless and sneaky like a rat, all creatures might desire to be respected(Even bugs, if a threat). clearly, Dwarf Hamsters R So incredible
