It is in fact a little bit creamy/buttery white. Do I paint my closet doors that colour too? Or should I paint my closet the same colour as my walls? The wall colour is yet to be determined neither is my new bedding (getting a whole new bed) but I love the combo of pink & brown (strawberries & chocolate). My furniture is med brown stained maple and the room gets very little light as it is a converted garage -- long & narrow with 2 small garage style windows. Any help would be much appreciated - I'm very indecisive.

Just bought a sleigh bed and high profile mattress set. The bedskirt and comforter set I have won't work anymore. Any suggestions for a beautiful bed?

We just had 8 recessed lighting fixtures installed, no transformer's just the housing, they are rated at 65w which even at full power (they are on a single dimmer) is way too dull for the size of the room. Why couldn't you put a 75w or higher bulb in the fixture? I couldn't think of what is actually "restricting" if there is no transformer.

A wholesale mattress company will be able to make me a full-size plush innerspring mattress for $325 (I don't know yet if the price includes a box spring). The wire guage is 13. They make mattresses for the industry, but will sell to the public.

Do you think that a $325 mattress must not be a quality mattress because of the low price? I've seen full-size plush mattresses in stores selling anywhere from $600 to over $2,000.

I will take a ride to check out their mattresses, but meanwhile, I'd love some input about buying a mattress wholesale for $325 and what quality I can expect in the mattress.

I am trying to buy a house right now. The place we're contemplating has a great room attached to the kitchen. My husband and I disagree about whether or not a formal living and dining space would help/hinder selling the place later. I think it's fine not to have a formal space for either if you have a great room. What do you think? Thanks :-)

My bedroom is 19x10 feet. I have a ledge on the wall where my creme colored upholstery bed will be. The dressers and other furniture will be a dark wood. Can I make a wall that is a red work in there? And can I do so without focusing my entire decor on that wall? What kind of things do you suggest?

I seem to recall in elementary school the teachers used to have big rolls of paper that almost had an accordion look to it, usually in a pale/light tone that used on bulletin boards. Does anybody know what the name of this paper is? I'm trying to create a brick or stone looking wall with some texture and I think it would work, but I have no idea what this product is called.

I've been looking at number of different websites but keep on getting different height info. Is it up to the manufacturer to decide on the measurements or there is some sort of industry standard?

I want to move the hook that is in the ceiling of my oldest girls room to my youngest girls room so I can hang something on it but it is the kind that you first put the part with the screw into the ceiling to anchor it then screw on the hook part, is there anyway to take this kind of hook out?

I have Mohawk flooring (300 sq. ft.) that cost 1200.00 normally. I am selling it for 475.00 on Ebay and Craigslist. It is Brazillian Cherrywood and beautiful. Does anyone know a market that I could advertise in for free to sell it? My husband was really upset when I brought this home from a charity auction but the guy there told me it would cover most of our home as far as kitchen and living room, but he was wrong.
