Try Butter-cream or light golden tan - both have a soothing tropics feel about them and also a warm romantic tone familiar in candle light. Your bedroom should not only be soft but warm and inviting - neutral to gender and not overly fussy. For good inspiration think of a nice hotel you have stayed in and places you both enjoy. Good Luck!

A medium sage green would be nice, neutral enough to not be too feminine or masculine. Select a new bedspread, throw pillows and curtains/drapes to coordinate, going either lighter or darker shades of sage. Deep bronze works well with sage green also.

Try painting the walls like a beige then rag paint it. take a rag ball it up then blot it on there. you can see the bottom color though the top and it looks really pretty. as for the top try like a shinny gold. or if you go to Lowe's they have little gold beads to put in your paint. put them in a light green.

Anything but "light blue and dark brown" I am gag-me-ill tired of seeing that blue and brown theme.

Why not try sage green gold and Amber since your sheets are already that color?

It may seem like a silly way to decide what color to paint your room but still, it may be helpful. It suggested red for me and that was the color I was thinking about painting my room anyway.
