The yellow and blue theme would look great with your white furniture. Also, since you are 14, you can have something fun and whimsical, but at the same time grown up. Here is what I would reccomend: first, all of teh woodwork (door, window frame, baseboard, etc) white, then paint 3 of you walls yellow. On the fourth wall, paint the blue. A pale blue would be very pretty with butterscotch yellow. Since you like polka dots, paint dots of dfferent sizes on the 4th wall in yellow. On the larger polka dots, paint words like "dream", "laugh", "love", "faith", "hope", etc. in blue. Make this the wall where you bed is, so it is a focal point. Place your bed and end table on this wall. Have it be the wall you see when you open the door. Put the desk on the opposite wall, and the fan in a corner. Paint your ceiling blue. Next, for bedding, and curtains, find something in the blue and yellow with stripes, plaids, and polka dots. These are fun, not too girly, not tomboyish, and are sophisticated. Feel free to mix patterns! As long as the colors are coordinated, it will look great. Also, hang a curtain over your closet doorway to hide its contents. Thrift stores, like the Goodwill, are fantastic places to find inexpensive bedding, and curtains. If you can't find anything there, try discount stores like Big Lots. If you still can't find anything, try Target and Walmart. Places like Sears, JcPenney and Macy's have nice things, but would be out of your budget. To accessorize, hit the Dollar Tree for cute picture frames, mirrors, etc. to put on the desk, end table, and to hang on the walls. Also, try drawing or painting your own artwork to hang up. It actually looks really cool to do something like paint a picture of your pet or friends in blue and yellow to match teh room, and frame it in white. Good luck with your decorating!

Wow, that is a small room! However, I think we can still decorate it and make it interesting. After all, a room is better than no room. =)

Since your room doesn't have a lot of space for more furnitures and your budget is only $100, the best thing to do is to purchase blue bed sheets and comforter. You can find really good deals at Walmart or Target. I'm suggesting blue only because yellow will wash out with the white furniture.

You mentioned that you like polka dots, how about making your own art pieces. I promise they will not look cheesy and plus, it's cheaper that way. All you do is purchase some 8x10 pictures frames. Paint some yellow/blue polka dots on white papers and frame them. You can make the polka dots different sizes. The blue/yellow polka dot frames will pop out and make the room more vibrant.

Since you "sorta" like flowers, how about pick up some cheap yellow artificial ones from Walmart and put them on the cabinet/bookcase. The green from the leaves will add a touch of nature to your room.

All this should cost you no more than $80. Good luck and have fun! =)

Try painting it a light colour, perhaps with a coloured feature wall, because painting a small room a dark colour will only make it seem smaller. Then try and match your bedding to the colour of this feature wall to make it feel more sophisticated. Try and go for colours with an elegant feel like purple or a deep blue, or even black. However to prevent your room looking smaller, choose to do this on a wall that doesn't instantly come into your eye-line when you walk in. Then try and put a photo frame or mirror on the feature wall to balance out the colours. Such as a fancy silver mirror on a black wall. Hope this helps a bit. x

1] decide on color and buy bedding/curtains first. It is much easier to match paint to fabric, then match bedding to paint.
2] pick a blue or yellow from the bedding, and paint three wals yellow, like Rebecca said, with fourth wall in blue. Do the large yellow dots on that wall, with the inspirational
words inside, etc. Paint flowers inside dots too small for words. [ OR< you could make a border around the top of your walls, with your favorite quotes separated by dots or flowers! ]
3] buy underbed storage for out of season clothes, sports equipment, handbags etc.
4] get shelf dividers for the closet - have a space for winter accessories [ hats, scarves, gloves, mittens ], sweater stack,
Tshirt stack, and summer accessories [ sun hat, totebags, sunglasses ].
Get shoe racks for closet floor - divide left to right by seasons, and front to back with casual in front, dressy in back.
If you still have space left on closet floor, get one of the plastic storage drawers for smaller clothing [ underwear, socks, pjs, etc. ] or stackable tubs.
5] get doors or make a curtain from a cloth shower curtain, a set of used drapes, or make some from fabric.
6] put up a mirror opposite the windows, to reflect light and makeroom look bigger.
7] make a floral swag or wreath of eucalyptus or grapevine, and add yellow and blue flowers to it [ pretty, and cheap! ]
