If you email me or message me on here, I have great ideas for your room.

1) Pick a main theme (I had a Nintendo theme at one point; I'm a huge gamer too)

2) Get some simple decorations that fit with the theme.

If you are looking for more space, try getting a bookshelf. It will be more organized, and you can still add decorative touches to it also.

I have a ton more ideas too!

Why don't you look at the pictures online at potterybarn for teens? they might give you some excellent ideas that you can do for yourself. Do you have curtain rods that you can put up some nice curtains? You might want to look in the discount stores near your home for bright pillows and baskets for storage. Or you could use "milk crate" type boxes in colors... here is a link:

If you live in or near a bigger town/city, you can shop the thrift stores for fun fabrics, baskets, and curtains, too.

Another thing for storage bins on a budget is to take medium sized cardboard boxes and cover them in pretty wrapping papers or "contact paper".

A fun project to dress up plain painted furniture is to get stickers and pictures from magazines and do a "decoupage" gluing and putting a clear coating over them to dress up the furniture.

Get a little creative with older items and a little paint and glue! have fun creating a new look for your room!

With the bed being on the floor you just lost storage space. Put bed back together. You could use the room under your bed to put box's (made just for that) and store some of the clothes in the boxes. However, before putting clothes into the boxes, toss anything you haven't worn for at least a year. They're just taking up room. Or store what ever you think best.

Take blankets down. Look for fabric from either fabric store, always look for the sale signs, and second hand stores. You would be surprised what you can find at low prices.

When visiting niece in California, with mom's permission, we all trapts over to the fabric store. When we walked in I saw the perfect material. You have to keep in mind I'm don't sew. While everyone else was looking at other material, I asked my niece if she liked what I picked out. Wanted an honest answer because this was for her room. She is a teenager. She was a bit shy, did say yes. Made sure her yes wasn't because I picked it out. She also saw it as we came into store. Was prepared with measurements and it was purchased.

Her room was done in light purples. Material was colorful with golds, purples and so fourth. Material was free flowing, colorful, but showed enought light through. Know I'm going on and on here, but you can do the same. Covered plain drapery rods aleady there and started on the rest. Needed bottom hem so used iron on tape. Couldn't see it. Was easy to do. Did same to top using using wider iron on tape. Used hole puncher & used show rings to put up on 2nd curtain rod.
1st rod was covered by twisted material around rod.

Think I would use beige side of bed cover. Beige go with everything. It chair is too big, remove. Find something smaller, 2nd hand. If you like blue for TV leave it blue or sand down & repaint using colors from bed cover. Same for table used to fan. Could jazz up black vanity by using same paint on edges.

If some of your clothes could be removed and stored under the bed, then the 3 drawer storage bin could fit in the closet.
Niece had huge chair in her room too. Eventually ended up in another room. See how it goes. As for pic. black is very populor now & would be OK with vanity. Your choice.

It's fun hunting things down in 2nd had stores. I love it. Will always choose 2nd hand before new if I really like it. It's what you like that counts. Maybe you can change huge chair with something else that't in your house. With permission of course.

Curtains for my niece were a gift from me. Knew she would never have other wise. Makes me happy if I can do something like that. Can't always do that.

Sit and look around and see if you can put this all together in your head or other ideas you may come up with. Study it for awhile. I do that all the time before jumping in.

Good luck and happy designing
