I have cemented walls that have been painted over which I think is a semi-gloss paint. I want the wall to look smooth, but furring it out is out of the question, because the the perpendicular wall have windows too close to the corners to do it. I was thinking of using joint compound to make the wall smooth. Will this work, especially since the cemented wall is already painted?

The only restrictions are the navy blue leather couch and the carpet which is a light grey. There are no windows so I don't want it to look too small or have the color be too overwhelming. Any suggestions? I thought maybe a yellow or orange type of color but I can't really decide!

I'm laying out my vinyl floor squares in my bathroom but have discovered that the walls are not exactly 90 degrees with the tub. So if I put the tile snug against the tub, the was has a 1/4 to half inch gap to it. If I put the tile snug to the wall, the TUB has the 1/4 to half inch gap to it...

What do I do?

Should I just cut some "mini" pieces to stick in the gaps?

Can't turn back now... aleady ripped up the nasty carpet.

Hi, I am trying to sell my home and I need to redo my bathroom. I need a neutral color to go with a light grey, the color of my tile surround around the tub. The rest of my house is pretty neutral colors, but I can't think of a nice color to go with grey, and it is a small bathroom, so I don't want to do anything dark...... I also have a white marble vanity top with some peach color running thru it. Any suggestions? Thanks.

What would be a fair estimate on painting a studio apartment on the 3rd floor? The woman also wants it cleaned up. She also has a 2 bedroom apt. on the first floor. Just needs repainting. I'm not a professional(don't paint for a living) but I am skilled, have painted many rooms in my day, and know what a good job is supposed to look like. I dont want to cheat myself and also dont want to scare her away with the price. I could use the spare cash rt. now. thanks in advance.
