Just finished painting, all ceilings/walls are flat white. When you are house hunting, is that 'oh good!' or 'oh crap!'?

ANY CREATIVE IDEAS??

Should we just make it a little earlier in the day? The only thing is it's going to be warm outside. The later the better.

I should mention that we DO plan on having a tent, but the funds are low so we're looking to cut back. We're paying for everything ourselves and we have thought of ways to cut back on other things as well.

It measures about 15ft by 12 feet. Painting skirting board, window sill, frame and radiator is included in that price. I am providing wallpaper and border; he is providing paint and paste.

I'm moving into a box room and want to know what colours would be best to maximise the comfort/appeal of the room. (wall colour/bedding etc) Would like to use colours that would 'warm' the room. There is a window at the back of the room beside the bed. Any suggestions/ideas would be appreciated.

I recently moved out of my apartment I had rented for two years. My apartment is charging me for replacement of the carpet. Aren't they supposed to replace it anyway? Plus wouldn't my non-refundable pet deposit cover it?

Solid wood, heirloom quality funiture or Particle board furniture?

I'm thinking particle board because it's cheaper. My husband is talking about expensive wood funiture.

We have a 5 year old and a 9 month old. I'm afraid that if we buy the expensive stuff they will ruin it.

Thoughts? Why?

I need arguments to convince my husband to save our money and buy the wood furniture later.
