Just finished painting, all ceilings/walls are flat white. When you are house hunting, is that 'oh good!' or 'oh crap!'?

Painting walls and ceilings all white is the best way to go. Most house hunters are cool with all white and will be happy to see a fresh paint job, but if you go with colors you like and a prospective buyer doesn't like what you picked out, that can be a major strike against you. Don't worry -- you did the right thing.

It really depends on how much else needs to be done to the home. If the house is near new or is in good shape go for the white. If any of the walls are in a condition that might be frowned upon by a potential buyer though, paint neutral colors. They will help cover up some of the imperfections that might be on the wall. Overall though if the house is very well lit some color would be a good idea, but if it's dark at all leave it white. it will make it look brighter and bigger.

Very Good! That will give the person interested in the house the opportunity to be creative with other colors. White makes a house or a room look bigger. It makes it look cleaner, and being that you used flat, that covers any flaws on the walls or ceiling. I would do the same thing.

Well, white is very clean looking and it makes it look bigger. It also brings out things like defects. So I would have to see it. Sometimes it is nice to add a little color even if it's just a hint of yellow or blue.
Depending on the room and light and furniture. You should watch that show on A and E, people are trying to sell their homes and are having trouble so professional decorators come in and video prospective buyers and get their comments. Then they make changes and sell.

I personally think that white is a good color for selling. I have bought homes 3 times now, and I always end up painting them anyway. If you paint colors you like, it might influence the buyer in a negative way. White is safe for everyone. Plus, it generally makes your rooms look larger and cleaner.

I like color, but I think all white is the best way to go. People dont want to come into a home with strange colors. Does not appeal to the eye. I think it will be great for buyers.

I painted mine all white and sold the house. Comment at closing was great, we planned on painting everything to our taste anyway.

little of both. It gives me an opportunity to make a house my own, but it also doesn't open up my mind to possibilities of a room. I might just think, Oh, another room.

Not good. If you want a warm feeling make them light neutrals, tans, creams or even pale yellow.
