The correct way to calculate the amount of material you will need is 1.5 x the width. This will allow a good gather, but no too much.

So 92inches x 1.5 = 138inches in total required, as a whole for net curtaining or cut into 2 for the curatins, so each curtain needs to be 69 inches wide.

A good rule of thumb with curtains is that they need to be twice the width of the window. So yours will be 184 inches wide. However, fabrics come in different widths, so you'll need to calculate how many lengths of 42 inches (plus allowances for hems at top and bottom) you need to buy (you may have to buy, say, 4 lengths to make two pairs of curtains, or one large curtain). Hope this makes sense!
