I would pick up some home/ decorating magazines and see if you find something you like. My living room was very plain the first year we lived there b/c I wasn't sure what I wanted and that's how I found my ideas. I also have a navy blue sofa, love seat & chair. I painted my walls 2 different shades of yellow and accented w/ red lamps, curtain, etc. It looks really good and is very cozy. Different colors set different moods, you could also pick up a color book at the book store for some ideas. Good luck!

I think you shouldn't use curtains because you have caramel walls and curtains will darken the place. I suggest window treatments such as valances or get some material from the fabric store and lace them around a nice copper or brass pole. You can fine nice ones at Walmart.

Check out this website for some ideas. A silk striped drape incorporating the two colors would be really nice and add cohesion to your color scheme. If you like a patterned drape, look for a jacquard damask in caramel and blue.

you can go with navy to match your couch, or a navy & tan pattern (vertical stripes are always nice) but that will make the windows dark. how about a natural (off white) fabric roman shade? or even a matchstick blind in roman shade finish? the natural browns in the matchstick blinds (either twig or bamboo) would be a nice compliment to the scheme you have. If you are more formal, use the fabric shade, if you are more relaxed, go with the matchstick.

Color helps set the tone and feel of a room. Consider whether you want the window to blend in to the surrounding or to be the focal point. Matching the wall/window trim color or using a neutral will cause the window to visually recede. To draw attention to the window use color and pattern. I would pick a Supreme stripe pinch pleated drape. They are striped with olive green and red and go well with the olive green walls and hard wood floor.
