Our house got struck by lightning, and our TV is now damaged. Is it worth repairing or should we throw it away? The TV cost us about $150.

Ok So my mom is looking at a very small house to rent. The rooms are very small and are painted very bright shades of pink, blue, and yellow. There is a room in the tiny basement that has blue-ish turquoise concrete floors and i'm not sure abut the walls. I would like help on how to decorate this small space without spending a lot of money??

Also, I know that buying a lot of primer to repaint the blue, pink, and yellow walls is going to cost quite a bit... Is there anything else to do? Please Help. They painted the ceilings the samse colors as the walls! The pink room also has pink carpet! Me and my sister are both in high school, so the decorating for those rooms shouldn't be very little girl like. Please Help!

Thanks

My fiance and I just bought our first house and are trying to decide on a refrigerator. We measured and we have 70" H and 38" W to work with. I'm looking at a 20.5 cubic foot fridge that is 66.5" H and 29.5" W. My fiance thinks that over 8 (about 4 on each side) inches is going to be too much extra space and look weird (plus the few inches at the top). He thinks we need something that is at least 32-33" wide so that there are only 2-3 inches on each side.

Opinions?

I'm trying to find curtains for my dining area. My livng room is called a "great room" and the dining area is in another room but the two are not seraprated by a wall. My carpet is a very light, but now white carpet, more of a light tan. My couches are a dark olive green and the furniture is a light rustic brown. Now, I need to find curtains what color would look good? Patterns or solids are good. Any good ideas appriciated!!!!!!!

My carpet isn't dirty it just looks old. So can i just put it over the old carpet? Or do I actually have to remove the old carpet? If I have to remove it can I use the old padding? Or is the padding included with the tiles?

The supplier says they are used all the time and should be ok. The plumber is hesitant. If I don't use them I have to spend more money buying other fixtures.

I have a Closet that's about 5 feet wide, 2 feet deep and 5 feet high. Now this closet is built into the room, so I'm thinking since I don't have much clothing, I can throw the clothes under the bed in drawers and have space for something in my closet! Now I want to go with something in touch with technology. I'm going to put my Shark rack (Network Rack with a couple of routers and switches) in there, so it should take about 1/3 of the width. I am pondering on having a stereo system in there? Or perhaps something else? Any ideas?

my dad knew how to do everything but there was one thing i always wanted to learn. my dad and his brothers know how to remodle rooms knock down wall and remodle rooms, they never went to school for that or anything. i've always been interested on how to remodle a room like a basement or a kitchen, but here the sad part my dad is in prison. i remember as a little kid he would always want to teach me how to do what he does but i was always worried about playing outside. this past year my aunt got her bathroom remodled by home dopt and they knocked down walls took everything put knew walls up and it looked so nice so then i decided i wanted to do the same thing they were doing as a career or at least a side job. does anybody know if there is schooling for that or does anybody know the name of that career

We are painting our upper kitchen cabinets a cream color and our lower cabinets black. All of our hardware on doors and drawers are 3" pulls. We got a great deal on flat black hinges, so we bought enough for the whole kitchen.

With the hinges unifying the cabinets, could we get away with using cream colored pulls on the black cabinets and black pulls on the cream colored cabinets?

If you think we should use the same color hardware on both sets of cabinets, what color could we use that goes with cream and black paint and black hinges?

Thanks for your help!
