I found the dresser in the basement brought it upstairs sanded it and started painting, the next day there was a horrible "old" smell, I tried spraying it with vinegar, using baking soda and carpet fresh, febreeze, lysol, and last but not least another coat of paint ( thought I could seal the smell in ) now the dresser is sitting on the front porch in hopes that the air will do it some good, any other suggestions.... will try anything in case you didn't notice lol thanks in advance

They've been out years and I used to sell them in th 80's when I was at Uni. There were pics. of lions, landscapes and disney characters etc. They were etchings on foil. Somebody knocked my door the other day selling them and I was shocked that people are still buying them after all these years. Does anybody know what I'm talking about?

Granted I'm not super wealthy, but i'd like to have some nice quality sheets. I believe thread count is what you're supposed to look for...please advise!

I know scraping popcorn is messy and time consuming, but I heard I have to do it if I want to apply crown moulding. Is there any type of moulding I can do without having to scrape the popcorn from my ceiling?

I want to get an electric shower installed. Do we need to have both a plumber and an electrician or will just an electrician do? Or just a plumber?
I had a plumber who mcame to have a look and he said I must have both but that would double labour costs. Just wondering if anyone can shed light on this.

I have a friend of mine and he rented some stuff from Colortyme for about six years but when he couldn't make the payments they wouldn't work with him and he just let it go and of course he didn't get the money back. He payed for a computer, which I said was dumb, for about 4000 dollars total but they say he still owes 500 dollars and he has a bedroom set, livingroom, and kitchen table. Friends tell him to just keep the stuff and tell him not to open the door because they can't really do anything and they know this from personal experience, trust me but he went searching online and he has heard stories of others getting in trouble for this kind of thing but he doesn't know obviously if these are real. He needs advice. Can they really truely do anything to him?

I just started to become interested in Feng Shui. I plan to get a book about this subject because I know very little. I thought I heard that if you put your bed parallel to the bedroom window that all of your positive energy will go out the window while you sleep? Is this true? I've had my bed like this for years and my life has sucked. Also, I have a couch that somebody gave me. I also read that you shouldn't take furniture from anyone because of all their negativity could be brought into your home. Is it okay to accept secondhand if you really need something?
