I have put potpourri inside gift jars. i used lace material on top instead of the lids. the scents from the potpourri lasted a good while.i used ribbon around the jars to keep the lace on..

go to a craft store and look for book on it. you can do all sorts of things. jellys and jams, candy, cookies, dry ingredeants for cakes and brownies with the recipes included.
