I want to know if this place is inexpensive because I need to decorate my entire home. I don't want to spend alot of money and people told me about this place. Can anyone tell me what this place is and is it affordable to shop there.

Yes... it has a lot of nicknaks and the merchandise is different every time I go there.... if you are planning on decorating your entire home - don't look for furniture there... lamps, rugs, pictures yes... and vases, towels, etc. Prices are not too bad, but you will have to pick through alot of junk to find stuff that matches. The style of the stuff they have there tends to run towards the victorian or morrocan styles... if you want clean, neat lines go to Ikea...

I shop there and even worked there in a former life. The really good bargains are in the linens and glass departments. Sometimes you can get some excellent bargains on things that have been pushed to the back of the shelf. When I was working there I found a complete set of dishes (4 place settings) by Villeroy & Bosch. I got them really inexpensively and would love to get another 4 place settings but I can't get them anywhere for less than $400 (I only paid $35).

I consider Tuesday Morning like the Ross or Marshall's of housewares. Those stores get the leftover clothing that doesn't sell in teh department stores...Tuesday Morning gets the housewares, bedding, pictures, books, etc. It is hit or miss like the previous people mentioned...but you can find great buys there. If you want a department store that is cheap and consistent, hit up Kohl's. It always has things 30-80% off and there is always something on sale...much cheaper than other department stores, and unlike Tuesday Morning, it has consistent merchandise...if they don't have enough of what you want, then you can have them look it up at other locations and hold it for you. If Tuesday Morning doesn't have enough of what you need...the best they will tell you is to go to another location and dig for it yourself. It is worth a trip at least once since you haven't been and you just might find some great things!

Tuesday Morning is pretty much hit or miss ~ all depends on timing. I've gone there and found beautiful towels and high-thread count bedding but as one of the repliers mentioned, you have to sort through the merchandise to find matches and full sets of things. Then other times I've gone, I walk out without buying anything. Nice decorative chachkis but you definitely can't decorate your entire home from just Tuesday Morning. Hit TJ Maxx, Marshall's and Target. In case you have one where you live, check out Hobby Lobby!

Yes it is a different place to shop, was in there yesterday in atlanta area. They have gotten so junky I rarely go there but to pass time. Some things are a great price, but appears is bought out from liquidations & not specifically a dept for certain things.
If you've never been, do go to see if its a place you'll enjoy comparing prices from another store.

It's a fun place! They buy close-outs, discontinued and slightly damaged or irregular items. If you have one of these stores near you check the "open" schedule. They are not open for business every day like most retailers. The usually get new merchandise very 2 weeks near me and open Tuesday mornings for sale-hence the name. I would also try stores like Marshall's or TJ Max, they always have great deals on housewares.

It is pretty cheap. The one thing to know is that they usually have a rotating stock. In other words, they'll get in 20 of the same lamp and then they'll never have that lamp again. That means you have to be a little flexible with what you want or willing to head back over there every so often to see what's new. Ask whoever's working there to find out when/how often new stuff comes in.

Yes, I shop there sometimes and find that it is affordable and has some cool stuff, but mine doesn't stock a lot of furniture if that is what you are looking for. It has lots of dishes, towels, rugs, lamps, comforters, knick-knacks, vases, candles, some books and even a toy and clothing section. It's kinda like a Tj Maxx. Happpy hunting!

I've shopped at the one in O'Fallon, Illinois and the one in Champaign, Illinois. I personally don't find them that reasonable unless you happen to find something on clearance. Didn't really care for the selection either. Found much better deals and higher quality choices at TJ Maxx and Marshalls. Good luck and have fun shopping! :)

you have to know the real cost on items there they sell a lot of items that you ll find elsewhere on sale cheaper than their prices. but then once and a while there is a great deal but those tend to be the ones they send out fliers for good luck. I would recommend target since they are really easy to return items with if your not happy
