Assuming you have a sharp cutter head and you keep firm even pressure through out the scoring process, you shouldn't have a problem.

There is a little gadget built into most tile cutters that lets you snap the tile right on the cutter. You just press down.

Take the cut tile to the edge of a work top or table with the cut section over the edge. Press hard with confidence and it should break clean. Some tile cutters have a feature on it for doing the 'snap' - read the instructions............... good luck.

What kind of tile are you working with? If it's some type of vinyl tile, heating it before you score and snap it will do the trick.

rent or buy a wet saw. they work much better, and you can buy a cheap one for less that $100. if you only need it for a short time, you can probably rent on for half that.
