We've just realized that the paneling in a room is glued on, my mother suggested we get a heat gun and that would help remove it. Will it work?

I know there is a large market out there for unique and special bedding fabrics, I just wonder if its profitable. If i'm spending $200 on a duvet cover, how much is it costing me to produce it?

I just bought a 100% polyester fabric shower curtain. Even though the fabric seems like it might repel water, I'm wondering if I MUST also buy a plastic curtain?

I am thinking of decorating my powder room with a spin. :) I am not sure if this will look tacky, or might be able to wing it. My utility cart is wider than this one approx. 3ft x 1ft. And if there is a consensus, then I plan to decorate with candles, towels, magazines, orchid etc. But, can't decide, whether it's a good idea? I haven't painted the walls as yet.

My house has 40-year old original wood trim around all the doorways and windows. Some of this trim has been painted; the rest is all beat-up looking.

Can the painted trim be stripped and refinished? Without taking it off of the walls?

Can the beat-up wood be made to look like new again? Again, without taking it off of the walls?

I need to replace my old Formica kitchen countertops and am considering the options. Has anyone used Granite Transformations? They cover the old countertops with it and it is supposed to be less mess and look & wear just as well as granite. Anyone have them yet--what do you think?

Any tips on how to personalize prospective "areas" for each child? The room is a redone attic-with pitched ceilings and a great big window and walk in closet w/ window. Beds are on seperate walls and sides of room.

Our house was built in the 50's and the basboards are horrible. I thought that like most houses, you take the old ones off and replace with new ones. Sadly mistaken. The carpet butts up against the baseboards. and the BB are sitting on the hardwood flooring under the carpet. If I put the new BB in the same spot there is a huge gap to were the carpet and new BB meet. Should I get another piece of trim and build up a little and then put the new BB on top of that??? I truely need someones help that has dealt with this.

My bedroom is a sqare, the only outside wall with windows has a coved ceiling. the cuve ends just a few inches above the windows. The ceiling and walls are all white. How do I paint that wall with the windows, without the wall ending up looking very short as I would stop painting at the curve? Unless I paint that 1 wall and the ceiling all 1 color and the other 3 walls a different color. I didn't want to paint the ceiling but I don't think I can get away with NOT painting it. I want to use sage greens, burgandys, golds, and dark blues in my color sceam for the room. So what color should I put on the ceiling if I paint it? A lighter color then the other 3 walls or darker? Or should I stay with a nutral beige or warm tan/brown?
