I havent heard of an electronic paper stripper but the ones that use water to create steam are very good. For heavy woodchip paper you need to score it first. Work a patch at a time, steam then strip.
Good luck.

Never heard of an electronic wallpaper stripper. We've done ok for 200 years without one, why start now ?
Yuo can get steam strippers, don't bother.
How water and a scraper. Score the paper if its got a satin or waterproof finish. soak the water in, leave for 15-30 mins, scrape off.
Put on a loud CD, I recommend Oasis or The Pretenders.

The first answer above is correct, use a spray bottle and a hand scrapper. I don't say that because a steamer is not good, they are. It is just that they take some time in use, make your arm ache, need refilling and if not careful you can get scolded. The old fashioned way is fun when you get into it and you can do as much or little as you like. If you are stripping vinyl then the first layer will peel off by hand, don't bother with scoring the paper first it just isn't necessary.

A steam stripper is really good, thats what I've used, just make sure you cover the carpet as it gets sticky and wet (no, the wallpaper, not me!)

or you could use warm soapy water & a metal spatchelor as a cheap alternative...hiring a stripper may cost up to £25 a day, if you are going to buy one its worth getting a decent one...hope this helps!!!! Chip board may require a bit of elbow power!!

Not really. Best to use a steamer or the old fashioned bucket of water and scraper, and plenty of elbow grease !!.

I found the easiest way was to let the wife do it, although she was a bit slow at getting the beers when trying to multi task. (:
