A chandelier is a better design element, but a fan is more practical. If you live in a cold climate I'd go with the chandelier.

Chandeliers are rarely put in a bedroom. A ceiling fan is much more economically practical and would probably increase the chances of selling in the future for that very reason.

A ceiling fan is the better choice. You can buy one w/light or forget the light and invest in the more expensive ceiling fan.
Below are the best websites I find for quality and price.
When clicking into the websites, go to site's map/index page,or can type ceiling fan into their search bar & do a search that way.

A nice ceiling fan -- very practical. If you must have one, a chandelier for entry if ceiling is high enough.
Sorry, I am biased against chandeliers and it isn't good unless you have housekeeping staff. There are too many pieces to clean and they are not energy efficient. Also they are ostentatious.

Get the ceiling fan! It will make the room look much nicer and it will help with circulation of the air, depending on the seasons.

ceiling fan is better , because it is functional ...when hot it cools you off without using a/c ...when it is cold it helps warm up temp by circulationg hot air from heater so you raise temp less. all this adds up to energy saving...chandalier only for lighting and in your bedroom who will realy appreciate the look besides you/spouse..comfort, savings ...more important then vain asthetics.

IMO, a chandelier is a little extravagant for a bedroom. As far as adding to the value of your home, I wouldn't suspect it would fo much for it.
