In this economy, my guess is that your profit margin will be low and also that you will not find many buyers, even if you advertise your stuff on craigslist. ----------------------- I personally am now worried about buying used furniture, although a few years ago I wasn't. See, those nasty critters known as bedbugs are making a comeback. They travel on used furniture, even wood tables. So I'm not buying used furniture anymore, although most of my apartment's furniture was purchased used. Back then a few years ago, it was safe. Nowadays, who knows what infestation you are bringing in with a 'great deal' on a table or whatever. ---------------------- I am perfectly capable of buying unfinished furniture myself and staining it myself, even though I am physically disabled. Buy an unfinished dresser for example and then spend $5 on some stain, grab a rag, and voila, finished. Again, I don't think that there is going to be much demand for that type of business.

I live in St. Louis and our newspaper lets us put in free ads for the "bargain box" if you are sell the item for under 200.00. Maybe you paper has a similar deal.
If not furniture is usually the first thing that is bought at yard sales. Put up some fliers and throw everything outside for a sale.
Check our local government to see if you need a permit.
Good luck!!

Garage sales are great. If you're willing to pay a small fee, you can check out NOC. They'll advertise your furniture for any price you decide.
