I have a nice pair of workout shoes and when I walk across a field to go workout the yellow, dead grass puts yellow stains on my shoes. I was wondering if I can clean them by putting them in the washing machine and dryer. I have seen it done in movies but I wasn't sure if it would damage my shoes or not.

What should I use to clean both inside and out of my house windows; something like using store bought window cleaners, ammonia, vinegar, news paper, paper towels, a squeegee, undocumented minimum wage worker etc, etc?

The shirt is probably mexican from the 1970s. It appears to be a synthetic (nylon? polyester?) that has yellowed, and is trimmed with yellowed nylon lace.

I'd like to whiten this shirt without bleaching the bright (cotton?) embroidery on it.

Is this possible? If so, how do I do it?

Kay well!

We moved into this new house just over a year ago and even though we've had 2 rounds of flea bombs and the like cockroaches still keep popping up! 2 in the bathroom so far, 1 in the study, 1 in the bedroom and tonight ONE IN MY BED!

We have cats but they're food/litter is pretty tidy, yes I have had food in my room but its always pretty much cleaned up.

Any ideas what to do? We have indoor pets so no evil chemicals are really in the picture ...

I have bef but took some of the paint off. I used bleach/water. Also, it gave me an awful sore throat, even with good ventilation. There is no electric vent/fan in our bathroom, only a window. Anything else work better than bleach??
