What should I use to clean both inside and out of my house windows; something like using store bought window cleaners, ammonia, vinegar, news paper, paper towels, a squeegee, undocumented minimum wage worker etc, etc?

Amonia and water in a spray bottle for hte inside and a bucket with same mixture and a squeegie on the outside. newspaper works well for the streak free look too. YOur mixture should be like 2 or 3 cups amonia to 1 gallon of water it will smell very strong. Also you may want to buy a flat razor to scrape paint and build up from windows and a small step ladder. Good Luck

I just did my windows last weekend. Inside use a vinegar solution (cannot use ammonia on tinted windows) with a touch of dishwashing soap and rubbing alcohol. I clean the frames, then the tracks (Ihave sliders) spray the window and use a window washing wand (the furry thing with a handle the professionals use) and squeegie from top to bottom with a rag on the sill to catch the water.

Outside, I use the garden hose and attach a bottle of Windex outdoor house and window cleaner, then blast the screens and window. It has sheeting action so it dries with a streak free shine. I usually do the outside on a cloudy day so the product doesn't dry quickly hitting a hot window.

ammonia, water and rubbing alcohol. The alcohol helps to dry up faster. And I tend to use a squeegee, especially on the outside of the windows.

I buy the Dollar General brand of window cleaner & use that on my windows, mirrors, appliances, countertops, etc. I think it works better than Windex. I use a good brand of paper towels also. Bounty makes a special paper towel for windows. No smearing!!!!!

Seldon make a product called Glaze. Its the best stuff I have ever used on windows. No smears, just sparkly windows. Try googling it for suppliers. You can buy in it 5 ltr bottles or triggersprays.
