You can remove tape and the tape residue with undiluted White Vinegar, pour on sponge and apply heavily to the tape leave on for about ten minutes then peel off tape, then apply vinegar to the residue on your window leave on for another ten minutes and scrub with nylon pad or use a little baking soda with the vinegar, this will remove the residue, then just rinse with warm water and dry with some crumpled up newspaper. Good Luck !

There's a product out that is a citrus oil designed specifically for getting sticky things off of non-porous surfaces (the citrus breaks down the glue/bonding agent). You can get it at your local drugstore or Target. You can get it in a bottle or in a pen. Just soak the tape with it, wait a few minutes then scrape off with a butter-knife or spoon, even. It comes off very easily that way!
If you can't find the citrus oil, use olive or vegetable oil. Use a paper towel with one corner soaked in the oil. Dab the tape until it's completely wet with the oil. Let it sit for about 5 minutes then scrape it off. You'll have to follow-up with a window cleaner, like Windex.
Good luck!

Peel it off, masking tape is designed to be easy removed without any residue being let over, if it is a pain in the bum to take off the hot soapy water will do the trick

Donna B, almost any of those answers will work fine, but if you want it to peel right off, and it come off easy, just put some oil on it... any kind of oil, cooking oil, wd-40, clear machine oil, any of it... even motor oil will bring it off but it may be hard to clean.
rub or spray it liberally with oil, put a paper towel in the bottom of the window to catch anything that drips, wait 5 minutes, and all of the adhesive from the tape will be gone and it will pull loose like its just a wet piece of paper stuck to your window!
~have a great day

This is going to sound dangerous, but windex and a razor blade. It works everytime and with very little effort. Spray a bit of windex on the glass around the tape and let sit for a few minutes, do not let it dry. Then use the razor blade to scrape it off. I used to do this with picture frames to get the tags off. If you go slowly and carefully you won't get cut.

Two sure fire solutions: use oil (Vegetable, canola, olive, something of that sort) and let it sit for a bit then rub well with a wash cloth. Or use peanut butter and let it sit for a bit and then rub well. Of course you will need to take the oil or peanut butter off the window and just a little dishwater (water with dishsoap in it) works well.
