I have a Little Tykes kid couch. My cat peed on it. I can take the cover off, but the smell is in the foam, too. Can I wash the foam in the washing machine? If not, any suggestions on how to get the smell out?

My roomate has three completely heinous couches, a hunter green suede one, an air-force blue one, and a beige one. Since she loves them so much, I'm forced to live with them. I'm having trouble deciding how to go about decorating our living room because I really don't know how to pull them together.
Does anyone have any ideas on colors to use for window treatments, wall decour, etc....
also, if you could help me think of a general theme for the room that would be fantastic....

I have a flower bed that currently contains Petunia's, Gerbera Daisies, and Begonia's. I would love to plant some tulip bulbs there so they will bloom in the spring. Will the plants that are already there (the flowers) die and not come back, should I yank them out or trim them way down. I want to plant the bulbs in the same bed, I do have the room. Also, when should I plant the bulbs so they will bloom in spring? Any advice is very helpful. Thanks.

My neighbors across the hall had bed bugs and I saw them dragging out their mattress to be thrown away because the bed bugs had colonized inside the mattress. How do I prevent them from getting inside my mattress or box spring?? My mattress cost me about $1,500 and I really don't want to face the thought of disposing it.

I have a small pond in my garden with a few fish in it (and a couple of bloomin' big frogs) and now the weather is getting colder, I know I shouldn't feed my fish until the water is about 10 degrees. BUT... I have a few strands of blanket weed in the pond. Nothing too invasive. Should I remove it or leave it for the fish to eat to keep them going? My pump is now switched off too. I've been scooping the dead leaves and berries off as much as I can. What should I do?

I set up a 55 gallon aquarium last month, and I have the filter and heater running constantly. That's the only thing that I can think of that's different. My electric bill went from $110 to $345 last month.

Its foil backed insulation sheeting on a roll. Also, have been told I need to add some flexible something to the screed to stop any cracking of the tiling afterwards. Does anyone know what it is called.

i have a really bad smell around my washing machine and dryer. Sometimes it smells and sometimes it doesnt. It has been happening for years. It even smelled sometimes when my washer was brand new. It also did it with my old washer. It is the worst it has been. I feel dizzy like it is making me sick. It is a terrible smell. We have pulled the washer out and cant see any mold or wet walls. We washed all the dirty clothes and that cant be it. It is smelling up my entire home. Thanks.

It's been used about 4-5x/year for 7 years. After this last time, the inside looks like it's peeling. I'm guessing this is some sort of paint/coating as opposed to build up. Should it be peeled off or not? If so, what, if anything, should it be coated with?
