We are just about to plant grass for a new rugby field and I was wondering a certain type of grass would be better to plant than say regular Kentucky blue grass. The field is located in central Illinois on the plains, usually with good rain year round (less in the summer of course). The follow up question would be is it too late to plant this fall (last week of October)?

I am looking to build a fence that will last for many, many, many years without having to redo rotten posts, or dig out concrete. This fence will be in a dirt/ground area. Please give me your thoughts with ideas that may incorporate the latest technology and materials.

Is there any way that I can keep spiders from making webs? I have a stairs that lead to my front door and there are always webs strung across the stairs... I even have the same problem on my back deck with my sliding glass doors.

I wouldnt mind the webs if they werent in the place where I have to walk through them.

Is there a way to stop the spiders from making webs in that particular area?

Thanks!

We just purchased a bruce plum tree and a santa rosa plum tree...I need any advice on planting these. We live in New Orleans and it has been in the 60's lately, a little rainy also. Not sure if there is a best time to plant these. Also, we were told that we needed both of these in order to produce fruit, but I think I have read different on the internet and I want to make sure we were not ripped off. Because all we really wanted was the Santa Rosa Plum tree. Is it true that it will take 3-5 years before these trees will produce?

Do you know, that when the fruit is very little, not even a toddler,
they stuck it into a glass bottle and let it grow inside, without
even ever tasting natural fresh air and rain? Then they cut the
stem, and fill the bottle with alcohol, and drown the poor fruit in
it and sell it for profit! Don't you think, seriously, that it's
abominable, and something has to be done about it?

I have a flower bed that currently contains Petunia's, Gerbera Daisies, and Begonia's. I would love to plant some tulip bulbs there so they will bloom in the spring. Will the plants that are already there (the flowers) die and not come back, should I yank them out or trim them way down. I want to plant the bulbs in the same bed, I do have the room. Also, when should I plant the bulbs so they will bloom in spring? Any advice is very helpful. Thanks. Oh, I am in Ohio.
