silly question - do you shower often or use some smelly creams? Most dry-cleaning places can add deodorizers... Maybe you have a pet sitting on your lap or a wet baby? Depending on what the odor is, try to put some dry baking soda ( arm and hammer) on your trousers - soda absorbs odors too ! if notning else- get a new pair... Could also be that they are made of polyester/rayon and when you sweat the pants smell !!! Wear natural fibers !

I had a pair of dark wash denim pants that I left in the wash for 2 days before discovering. Even after boiling them in water and white vinegar they smelled. It wasn't a bad smell, like tortilla chips, but I had to get rid of them. You will probably have to do the same if boiling and white vinegar don't work.

Did you leave your trousers in the washing machine for more than a day?
Did you change detergents to something that doesn't smell the same?
How about your starch? Did you change that?
My only way to fix it would be to rewash.

Check the garment label. If it has any polyester, toss them. Funk in polyester will never come out. If the material is a natural fiber, turn them inside out & wash on hot with about a 1/3 c. of bleach. Dry them in the sun. I also love Suavitel fabric softener. It keeps lots of funk away. Good luck.

It might be the dye in your pants that's causing the smell.
